Can anyone recommend a laptop / notebook for around $800. Can spend a bit more but would like to keep it closer to that budget unless it's really worthwhile the extra few $$.
AMD or Intel, it doesn't matter.
Thanks

Really only useful if you know what exact item you're looking for…
type in laptop. Scroll to $800 and work your way backwards.
I would honestly just wait it out for someone to post good deal. Like with the Dell and Lenovo deals posted the last month or two.
Acer Spin 5
Acer generally have the cheapest prices on replacing your screen if it breaks.
I am too looking for a laptop for $800 or less range. I need 8GB of ram, 256GB SSD and 1080p screen.
I am tempted buying this one :

SSD is good but HP laptops are a bit ordinary IMHO.
All specs are pretty good…aside from that CPU - i3.
I honestly can't recommend an i3 to anyone for anything based of personal experience.
The small amount to go up to an i5 or a bit more for an i7 is well worth it in the long run.
You might be able to get some of the $1000+ AMD laptops on clearance as the new Ryzen 4000 processors are coming out.
