777, CGU have actually announced that they are providing cover provided you have a written rental agreement and follow all procedures re steps for eviction eg breach notices etc.
Due to this existing cover they have declined to include it in any new business policy they write from 5.00pm 03/0420.This also applies to their commercial landlord CGU Padlock insurance.
Aon have a badged wording but the clause for rent default is the same.

I am with CGU, spoke to broker last week- no assistance at all
My tenant is not paying me rent and I have cover for rental default.
Global Pandemic is their reason for exclusion
