Looking for Tablet under $250. under $200 Would Be Even Better

My tablet (a geriatric iPad mini) has finally died. I don't want to fork out the money needed at this time to replace it with another iPad mini.

Can anyone recommend a cheap tablet that's under $200?

I mainly use it for ebook and audio book apps and internet browsing but I use it alot - at least 6 hours per day. I realise I will be losing access to the Apple proprietary apps.

My current (dead) device is 32GB which might be impossible at a sub $200 price but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks in advance,
Em.

I got the 10 inch with 3gb and it's surprisingly smooth, most review say the 8 in fine with 2gb.

At $200-ish I don't think your getting more than 2gb of ram unless you go one of the crappy china-tabs, and they are pretty garbage no matter how much ram.

The Amazon Fire devices are great (and cheap), you just need a mail-forwarder in the US to get them shipped to AU (ShopMate from Australia Post is not bad for a one off service)!
