Suggestion for Galaxy S7 Replacement

Hi all, I'm looking for suggestions on a replacement mobile phone as my Galaxy S7 is freezing on me. I really like the Galaxy S7 so I'm looking for something similar but newer.

Ideally it will:

  • have a camera that launches quickly
  • and takes good quality photos (as good as the Galaxy S7)
  • be able to create GIFs
  • not have a hole punch camera (because who wants to tape over their screen)
  • not be very big (I'll put a case on it too)
  • be pleasant to use. (I use my phone for almost everything, rather than my computer, so not laggy or with a poor screen quality)
  • have NFC

I don't need:

  • face unlock or fingerprint sensor.
  • headphone jack
  • wireless charging
  • front facing camera
  • curved edges
  • USB C

    If you're wanting to stick with Samsung s10e would be the way to go. I loved my s7 as well and went to the s10e and found the transition easy. It is slightly bigger than the s7 but smaller than the s10.

      Thanks, I saw the s10e and it looks really good, except I don't want the hole punch camera.

        you mentioned sticky tape over the camera. What about the Mi 9T (Pro or not)

        Ticks all your boxes and a pop up front camera so you know when it's filming (or not)

        Completely understand as you don't want tape over the screen, but then went on to say you don't need a front facing camera? So not sure why it matters if there is a screen protector over the camera :/.

        But all good! Still loving my s10e

          I think it is more important to him that he can cover the camera for security reasons.

    Samsung Galaxy Note9 has no hole punch camera and neither does the Oneplus 7T Pro. But both are quite a bit larger than the S8.

      I would, but Uber complains when I don't enable GPS
