    Anti-Bacterial !

    • +1

      So it's not even anti-virus!?!

    • +2

doesnt matter, as long as marketing dept can slap the word “sanitiser” thats whats important for panic buyers.

    • And anti fungal -benzalkonium chloride active ingredient which is clinically proven,
Although with viruses, not clinically proven but has some anti viral properties in ophthalmic solutions.

      https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30969148/

We have been using them in our household for almost a decade.

Just wash clothes above 60 degrees then hang out in the sun!

    • +5

      And destroy anything remotely stretchy.

    • +2

You don't even need to use hot water as long as sufficient quantity of detergent is used!

      • Now that is just wrong.

        • Sure, keep buying the "laundry disinfectant".

      • use soap?

        • Soap? I'm afraid your clothes may not become as clean if you used soap instead of a detergent. But with respect to destroying the virus, both soaps and detergents are surfactants.

  • +6

If you wash at high water temp with normal detergent, virus will die too. No need for this stuff.

    PS: thanks OP bought one.

      And destroy anything remotely stretchy

      • +5

Then it is your fault for wearing something stretchy during this difficult time

        • hmmm.. I'd rather wear something stretchy and non stretchy at home. I guess we have different preferences of home clothes.

          • @LennyT: or wear nothing at all

            • @klownvandamn: thought about it but unfortunately, I have meetings at home throughout the day so I can't.

Is this a good price, or doomsday prices?

    • i wonder if they start making 5 or even 6 ply 🤣

    • You might need 4 ply if you eat enough tobacco sauce

  • +7

From what I could see all these have the same active ingredients so doesn't matter what brand you get other than they all smell different. $3.79 for 1L at Aldi

    • THANK YOU, you deserve to be awarded a star for saving people some money!

  • Quilt on Tissues and paper towel available too

Before buying this have a think about it

    This is anti-bacterial

    Viruses aren't bacteria.

    • +6

Also think about the fact that you don't necessarily need a "laundry sanitiser", because clothes are washed with soap, which is already a sanitizer! This is an opportunistic bullshit product targeted towards gullible people.

      • +1

Haha The thing is the Corona virus is vulnerable to soap because it's protected by a fat protein layer. Literally any soap if agitated enough will kill the virus.

        • Well, let's hope that the washing machine doesn't finish its thing within 20 seconds. :-)

        • +1

What if I drink soap water will it kill virus

          • +3

@djmm: I know you're joking, but you underestimate the number of idiots out there who read these sorts of thing, and then parrot it earnestly to all their family, friends, etc. Then you have people dying from methanol poisoning, unproven treatments, or just spreading it around because they think their hairdryer and sauna cleaned their airways of virus.

          • -2

@djmm: As long as you gargle first.

            • @doowhydiddi: With the amount of misinformation out there, I'm not sure if you're being cheeky or serious. Just to be clear, one should NOT swallow soap unless they want to become very sick to the point that they'll need medical help. And NO, one should NOT gargle with soap either!

          • @djmm: Please DON'T drink soap! It is wrong on so many levels that I don't even know where to start.

    • Ssshhhhhhhh. Will teach those who didn't pay attention during high school science.

sorry you lost a LARGE % of the population after 'Just think about it…"

  • Use white vinegar. Does a much better job and it's a hell of a lot cheaper.
