  • Is this not just a classic Ponzi scheme?

No. They have been operating for sometime with plently of capital. Crypto loans are diffrent to a traditional loan.

      • OP, so we are better to sign up on the 1st of May. If we use a referral now, will it pay out in a month or it won't even activate for a month?

        • By referal your better of starting next month.

    • This is more of a trapezoid.

    • Looks like you were right @CarbonTwelve

  • FYI - Crypto.com does 8 to 12% pa interest on TAUD & TUSD stable crypto now.

  • Crypto.com not as trust worthy as blockfi for sure.

  • any international transaction fees?

    • +2

There's a fee to convert to Crypto. The cheapest option is wire transfer with Citibank.

If you have Revolut you can convert AUD>USD at near spot rate then send that to blockfi, they will convert it 1-1 with GUSD. Switch to USDC before you withdraw.

You could also topup a citibank USD account with Skrill, Instarem, transferwise, worldremit free transfer or free money offers.

      • Thanks man. Might just wait a few days for my ing no international fees to kick in but I should get a Citibank card .

        • +2

Wire transfer though swift-fedwire, cards are not supported on coinlist. Citibank is one of the only accounts i know off that charge no fees for swift.

          • @shadowangel: im trying to use citibank to transfer into blockfi, but its asking for a fedwire number?

            • @specks: Yes blockfi will send you the number by email. If you need help setting it up let me know. For the first transfer you can send as low as $10usd to test.

  • Has anybody received their bonus yet?

    • no, it's first working day of the month. They are American so it won't post until late on the 3rd-4th

      • Did you end up getting your referral bonus and have you been using the exchange since?

    • You will get an email notification, like last month

    • You should have been paid this morning. keep your crypto. I recommend Gemini for BTC and download Argent Wallet for stable coins/eth.

Both these wallets pay withdrawal fees

      • How’s your portfolio?

  • for the deposit of 100usd, does that have to be in usd, or can it be done via coins?

  • Are all the referral codes a “specific partner referral code” as per their promotions page?

    • No, partner codes are diffrent. I have seen a few on Twitter there may be other platforms you can find them

      • I see thanks shadowangel

      • PS I stupidly just realised it is only $15 under the partner offers so I'd rather it $10 and someone on OzBargain go the referral.

  • What’s the best way to get BTC into BlockFi? Transfer from another exchange? Which would have the least fees?

    • Doesn’t have to be BTC, can be any crypto. I personally used FTX (formerly Blockfolio) as there are no withdrawal fees but there are other options out there.

Fastest is ftx, it is possible to transfer USD directly if you have a citibank account, simply do a wire transfer.

      • Do you know if I can convert and transfer $AUD, from ANZ, into BlockFi as $USD (so money enter BlockFi as $USD)?
