Should Click & Collect Posts Be Allowed?

I know it's crappy for B&M stores, but for example, is doing a click and collect to pick up a game really an essential thing?

Does a C&C mean less time in-store so better off?

Unless they can't find your Click and Collect order or stuff it up (hi David Jones who tried to give me 15 glasses rather than the 18 I ordered)

I still think "Cash and Carry" when I see the term C&C. Is it just me?

Yes, I was at Bunnings 2 weeks ago to get a couple of things, had no idea what aisle things were and had to wander around for ages. Did a click and collect a few days ago and was in and out in 5 mins.

^ This. Confirmation of C&C order means less time in store and guarantees that you're not making a wasted trip out looking for certain items that may be otherwise unavailable. Also, good option if your total spend is less than free delivery offer, if available.

Unsure if this was previously updated here but I noticed Chemist Warehouse have reinstated C&C as of today.

Sweet, you made me check CW website and they've put baby wipes back up for order :D been impossible to get delivered or even C&C for a while.

        • Good to see that they're replenishing stocks

This is a click and collect post… so technically you should remove it..

  • no. unless its an essential item then sure…
ozbargain shouldnt be encouraging people to go out unnecessarily & breach guidelines that have been put in place to manage coronavirus by state & federal govts

  • I must say, I'm pretty surprised by the poll results thus far

    • why is that?

You don't click C&C and you expect most people here agree with you?

      • I dunno to be honest, i guess it's a strange season…

        • I think it's compromised between social distancing and keeping the business afloat.
Assuming C&C don't need many employees interacting each other.
And people still can buy stuff that are considered non-essential but can be important.

You're surprised that people don't want more private sector/government intervention telling them what they can and can't do? Really?

If you don't want to click and collect, don't do it, why the hell do people have to try and force whatever issues they have onto everyone else.
