[PC, Mac] 8 Free Big Fish Games - Hidden Object Games + Others

1070
TOGETHER

Thanks to the #PlayApartTogether initiative where various companies are joining together to promote #PhysicalDistancing, Big Fish Games are offering various hidden objects games, and others, for free (worth ~$22), for desktop (PC and MAC, sorry mobile users)!

  • NOTE: The last two games i.e. Midnight Castle and Sir-Match-a-Lot, are already free.

You will need to have a Big Fish account as well as an external Big Fish Games application manager to play these games, however they're completely free (and worthwhile since you're getting ~$150 worth of games for free).

TIP: As you will need to download these games on PC/MAC, right-click on 'Available on PC/MAC' on all games you want and 'Open link in new tab'. Click on the latest tab open and it should have all the games you want in one cart and then you can check out. make sure to check total costs is $0, it was automatic for me. This should save you from buying each games one at a time.

Unsure when deal will end, so get it while you can. Stay safe everyone.

Even though they are free they still want all your info and a payment option, nope

Untick the "Big Fish Game Club Free Trial" box on the checkout screen and it won't prompt you for payment options.

  • Great find OP, just what I need ATM. All worked for me - I already had a Big Fish account.

  • Thanks for the download instructions

I used to have HOURS of fun with Fairy Godmother Tycoon. Big Fish brings back so many childhood memories. Good fun for kids too.

  • Cant seem to open the app on my Macbook :(

    • Yeah I am getting the same problem. The Game Manager won't install on mine.

    • same to me

  • Brings back memories.. Played so much hidden object games in my childhood that I need glasses now..

In your childhood? What, are you like 10?

I've been around since c64 and until android and ios app stores came around these (practically speaking) didn't exist (ie: except in the $2 bin at big w and target)

        Myst?

        • I spent a decade thinking I was special as I was the only one among my friends who had completed BOTH Myst and Riven. Five weeks ago, at a thrift shop, rummaging through a 'used games' bin, I discovered there are actually five games in the series, not two…

I've been so busy catching up on missed gaming, I just found out about Covid-19 today

          • @LinkMonkey: Have you tried Portal?

            • @muncan: hahaha! you made my day! Yes and actually, I just played Team Fortress for the first time in January and I signed up for the remastered version of Red alert on steam. So that XKCD comic isn't far from my reality.

              • @LinkMonkey: Mm I'm wary about the remaster. Having played the dos and windows version of C&C1, I found it a totally different experience. The urgency created by the low resolution dos version as things suddenly crept up on you that you missed seeing on the map made it a totally different experience. It was fantastic.

But that's the single player. Multiplayer will be better on the remaster though.

          • @LinkMonkey: Don't forget about the three Myst books also… https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Myst_Reader

Looks like your isolation period is taken care of ;)

        • Myst is an adventure game, rather than hidden object game.

      • Mystery case files series is not new. Ravenhearst got released 2006

        • Making him/her 14? :p Close enough.

  • Same for me too

  • lol these are the ulimate sleepover at grandmas house games

  • too bad for some reason they took down weird park series with that clown. Was one of my fave mobile games.

If they didn't require the application manager to download and or play the games, then I might bite….heh, get it - bite?

    • I guess two people found my comment unfunny….

  • Are these games good for children (10+)? From the description of the games, I couldn't make out whether the target audience of these games is adults or children. Can someone recommend child-friendly games on this list?

    • I am sure they would be OK for children,
Big Fish Games lean towards kids games

  • The games are still showing as 60-minute trials, after being installed.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    • Worked it out, once installed you need to click Buy and activate the game

  • Anyone manage to install it on a Mac?
