Samsung LC49RG90SSEXXY on a 2070 super?

hey folks, a few days ago i made a thread asking how it would be to use a sony x90f model 75 inch tv for gaming. some points were made and got me thinking. i know with these ultra wide monitors your pushing more pixels but how much of a strain would this monitor put on a galax 2070 super 1 click oc model? would it be able to play most modern games in 1440p? i dont play competitve games like online shooters. mostly horror, rpg, and sim games. here are the specs on the monitor. i will try it on the tv first before considering a monitor. especially since this monitor is $2300. my only requirement if i go monitor is minimum 1440p, 120hz, 40"+ in size.

i dont play competitve games like online shooters. mostly horror, rpg, and sim games.

Then you don't need 120Hz. 60Hz will do and 2070s can do that easily.

Also, I don't think the super ultrawide monitor is practical. It will certainly wow you, but that's about it. 34" or 38" ultrawide will do the job just fine.

  • Your 5120x1440 monitor pixels: 7372800

    4K monitor: 8294400

You should be good. You won't be able to Ultra everything but High with a few things set to medium sometimes will be ~120FPS. Generally speaking. Usually Ultra settings don't do a lot compared to High but they cost a lot more performance.

I'm jealous, that monitor so good for driving and sims.

  • i wont bother running anything in ultra. the highest i plan on going is high settings. i doubt i would even be able to tell difference between high and ultra
