So i have too many clothes and need something to store them in. i don't need fancy drawers or anything, I'll stack the clothes in open shelves if I need to. But it just needs to be cheap.
Cheap way to store clothes in my room, something like IKEA Kallax but cheaper

That would work yeah. But where do I find a that many milk crates?
In the streets of Surry Hills after the Mardi Gras.

Also stores car tyres.
I've been carrying tyres the wrong way for years, thanks IKEA.
Oh I saw one of those in hard rubbish yesterday. Really wanted it but I can’t touch anything :(
Kmart have the same thing for heaps cheaper: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/8-cube-unit-white/2112866
Then you can get these if you want (only one of many different colours etc, so search the site for “cube”) https://www.kmart.com.au/product/collapsible-storage-cube---…
Note if you get 2x collapsible cubes at $5 each and the unit, you qualify for free shipping.
Otherwise under bed storage if you don’t need frequent access to them https://www.kmart.com.au/product/36l-underbed-storage-contai…
That could work. The unit is out of stock online though.
Black option seems to be available https://www.kmart.com.au/product/8-cube-unit---black/2851890
Or oak look https://www.kmart.com.au/product/8-cube-unit-oak-look/211236…
Alternatively there is a cheaper metal one https://www.kmart.com.au/product/metal-cube-unit/2836327
Though the white one is also available for me so perhaps it’s your location?
There are also a bunch of 4 cube units too.
Black is sold out online too for my local store I guess, but the wire and oak one say available. The wire one says 1kg limit per cube and the wood ones say 5kg per cube. I see also these 4 cube ones for $19 though black is sold out of those too https://www.kmart.com.au/product/4-cube-unit-oak-look/203984…
Go Kallax but 2nd hand, I got some the other day off Facebook Marketplace for like $40..
+1 for this. We bought all our Kallax secondhand for cheap, some already came with boxes/drawers too, and then if you want certain inserts they fit.
This 100%. Cheaper, better for the environment, youre putting money directly into the pocket of a person, not a corporation.
Buying new is usually pointless unless it's for sanitary reasons (obviously there are other reasons too).
Gumtree? Locals always have stuff they wanna chuck out for cheap. eBay is a 2nd choice with pickup only options.
Ikea Billies are cheaper per unit storage space. When you get rid of the clothes, you can use the space to store books.
How much clothes is too many?
Didnt you get those containers from SCA?
Put some silica gel packets to remove odours and long term storage. If you plan to store and need it frequently I would definitely recommend a cube unit or something similar.
There are heaps of tall boy in gumtree for cheap.
Also Amart has 25% off till 31st March if something interests you there.Otherwise, 8 cube unit from Kmart is decent and cost you around $35
Gumtree? Kerbside before council collection?
Or maybe you've just gotta spring clean your clothes collectionI'm actually thinking of this one now
https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07TYW74SS/
But I see there's also ones like this with little doors on them. Now I'm not sure what to do. If I threw away old clothes I'd have to buy new ones.
Bunnings have them! I was looking at them myself.
There is an upside of being super bored at home, cleaning the flip up!

The male answer to clothes storage - just drop it on the floor
Is this a soliloquy ?
milk crates with open top facing you
sheets of cardboard to make it smooth
