Over 700 Free Comics Added to ComiXology

1260

I check pretty much check everyday the ComiXology free comics list.
They have just added 700+ comics to the free list. (Thank you ComiXology and Amazon)

https://www.comixology.com/Free-Comics/page/175

Please use the add all to cart option (I filled the cart manually the first few times, finger got tired clicking and I noticed the button), you will need to do this a few times as there is a 150 item cart limit.
The last title is a pre-order, so it may ask for a payment option if that title is added, just remove it.

Added them all to my pile of shame.

    • Looked everywhere, don't think it exists. Found a Children genre though.

New to the comic world, anyone have any recommendations for the ones that are free?

These are all first issues so you'll only get a tiny bit of story (~low 20 pages). But from the list I would recommend:

The walking dead (different to the TV show and it's actually finished)

The Umbrella Academy (the comic that spawned the Netflix show)

      Ex Machina

I haven't read the below ones but I hear they are good:

      Stray Bullets

      Jupiter's Circle

I don't know about any of the superhero comics because I don't read them. If you're not interested in them either I would recommend reading comics from Image Comics. They put out really good mature, non-superhero (mostly), creator-owned works and they are considered one of the biggest publishers outside of DC and Marvel. If you're interested check out Saga. Very good comic.

    • I'm mainly a DC/Vertigo reader but I'd recommend Injustice and Planetary. Planetary is one of my fav comics of all time, but you only get the first issue (out of ~20) free. Its worth buying the whole set though cos its an amazing read. Injustice is an non-canon story in which Superman basically becomes a dictator (for reasons which I wont mention as I dont want to spoil it)

Looks like these are all "first issue only" freebies? If you want to get the full story of these runs you're going to have to buy the books (which include the first issue) anyway.

  • Thanks OP. You know you can just click on the add all to cart option at the top of each section. it will only add the 150 comics, but will filter out ones you already own and just add unpurchased ones each time. Also be careful as The Walking Dead comic comes up as 8.99 at checkout so you will need to remove it.

  • I think we've ozbargained the shopping cart.

  • I wonder when Amazon will give ComiXology permission to have a subscription base here in Straya?

  • Thanks OP..

  • Thanks OP, perfect timing. Cheers
