Surprised by how many people are here at the Toowong store. They have just put up the "Sold Out" sign for tonight.
how does it compare to men ya go (which i rate highly)?
It's so good! My preference in QLD:
1) Genkotsu (Toowong)
2) Men Ya Go (CBD)
3) Ramen Danbo (South Brisbane)Don't forget Taro's too. I pray that he forgives me for succumbing to this temptation!
went there a couple times. soup was always lukewarm and noodles oversoaked. i think they do it on purpose. also its like $20
I prefer men ya go, mainly because they have more lighter broths to choose from.
There is a relatively new ramen place on Mary Street, which I tried several times now. I can't remember the name of the store but I'd rate that place the best. Toppings like takana is self-served and free, broth is rich and noodle is awesome.
My personal rating is
1 - That place on Mary St
2 - Genkotsu
3 - Ramen Danbodo you mean Beppin ramen on Charlotte St? They have self-served toppings too

I'm referring to the Toowong store above but the Runcorn store is also on a corner in Runcorn Plaza, next to MOMO Chicken and Beer.
+$2 for char shu. Make it $7 for a meal with protein. Not bad.
