My brother got the Samsung Galaxy Buds with his Telstra Plus points and has been blown away by the quality of them. I don't use earphones personally, I prefer headphones, but yes, for those looking for wireless earphones under $150, the Galaxy Buds right now are probably the best bang for buck.
I've used them since it came out and they are brilliant
Got my wife some and agree 100% these are the best that I've tried so far. Even fallen asleep with them in my rat. Easy to carry in the case. Google Assistant. Usb C charging. Single use buds(as in the any one ear).
Be mindful that anyone who bought a Galaxy S20 has/had the right to claim a free pair of Buds+ they may not want, you could probably ask them for a nice deal.

Comparable, yes. But objectively speaking the Sony WF-1000XM3 are better in sound quality. Given that these are $135 though, you could say the difference in price might not be worth it for you. However if price is not an issue, than yes, the Sony are a better option. The deal is done now anyway, but if you got them, just be happy with what you received and enjoy them. If you haven't used good quality earphones or headphones in the past, you'll likely find them a big improvement over whatever you're currently using anyway.
