[Switch] Conduct TOGETHER - $0.01 @ Nintendo eShop (US Account Required)

400

For those of you that have an American Switch account, here's a cheap game that actually reviews well (80 on Metacritic with an 8.0 user score).

If you don't have US credit, but have some newer physical games, try redeeming their Gold Points onto your USA account and use that to "purchase" the game.

Just downloaded this as you posted, redeemed using points from the Yoshi deal a while ago, great deal as it's currently $30 on the AU store.

Damn that's a lot! I'd never actually heard of this game until I switched the DekuDeals filter over to USA a few minutes ago. I still have 38 gold points to use that I have leftover from redeeming the DLC from Guacamelee 1-2 Punch edition I had imported around Christmas

  • Great game. The single player (& easier) version of this is free on IOS and android. Same exact maps as this version. Called Conduct This

  • I only get a redeem game code link, how do you guys purchase it?

    • I did it on the Switch. Opened the store with my US account and bought it for 1 gold coin.

Ah, thanks! Turns out i signed in with my AU account. Switched to the US account and now got the purchase link.

The more of these free/1 cent games I redeem, the more and more I long for some damn folder options for our libraries..

This is actually fun! The real star of this is the multiplayer.

  • Sorry for my ignorance, how to get a US account? Please help

    • +3

Sign up to a US account online, then make a new profile on the Switch itself and link the two together. Then, open the eShop with the new US account and make the purchase there. Once purchased, the game can be accessed by any profile on the console, including our Aussie ones.

As for the purchase method itself, I haven't tried it myself - as I, like many others, had leftover Gold Coins from the Target US fiasco.

      • Thanks heaps

Alternatively, sign in to your current Nintendo account online, change your region to USA, redeem the game, then change back to Aus. That's what I did.

          • @Faro: FYI - For me, am unable to change region, it is greyed out.

            • +1

@Lister55: You probably have funds remaining on your Australian account.

Once you're out of funds (this doesn't include Gold Coins which remain tied to your account/region after changing) you can change to any region.

          • @Faro: After I change the region to America, its asking to restart.
Then I go to Nintendo eshop using the same account but its still showing $30, do I have to signin using different account?

            • @Chopel: If you changed your main account to the USA, then tried to access the eshop from your console, it should prompt you to sign in to your account again. At this point when you open the eshop as that user, it should display the American eshop.

You'll know it's the American eshop if "current offers" is now "great deals" for example.

              • @Faro: Changing the main account to USA, is that from setting-system-region?
I did that but it's still showing AU eshop

                • @Chopel: You have to change it via your phone or PC browser. Your MyNintendo account.

                  • @Faro: It's showing give up your eshop balance. I still have some balance in my account.
If I sign up with new account, how do I link between account so I can use the gold coin?

                    • +1

@Chopel: Gold coins are tied to accounts on a regional basis.

If you have gold coins in an Australian account, they stay there. Only redeemable in Australia.

If you don't want to spend your funds you'll have to create a new account and tie it to USA, but you'll have no funds or gold coins.

Please read the other comments here or do a google search, because this has all already been explained.

The funds issue was already answered in this comment thread.

  • Oh wow, I thought you could only redeem gold coins from games within your region? (ie. Redeem the gold coins from games with using an account from the same region as the copy of the game)

Damn, if I knew this, I would have redeemed all my physicals for other regions, for the purpose of jumping on deals like this! (Don’t think I have an unclaimed games, unfortunately)

Not all of them work across different regions

One game I specifically remember not working in Australia, but would work in America (despite being an Australian copy of the game) was Mutant Football League. So it's always worth a shot. I got a bunch of games from Hawaii/Canada/UK a couple years ago from a holiday and some worked on my Australian account while others didn't.

  • Got it! Thanks OP

  • Anything else on sale worth getting from the us store?

    • +1

Drawful 2 (a Jacbox game) for $0.09 USD and maybe Revenge of the Bird King for $0.01. Watermelon Part is $0.03, it looks so bad it's not worth it.

      • Nevermind! Thanks for replying!
