    • ok I think I know why… the discount is valid on any pack apart from single pack (that one is as cheap as we can make it) it looks like shopify is too dumb to discount only on item in the cart so given you placed a single pack in your cart and it does not have the discount, it does not allow a discount on anything… sorry about that but not sure what we can do here. Maybe you can choose the pack for 8 to 9?

    • Try capital letters, i.e. CORONA

  • I am stuck overseas but will definitely try yours when I get back. Good luck!

    • thank you. Hope you get back ok.

  • +1

Another question, why is single pac $24 but 6x combo is $192? Even after discount costs more?

    • +2

The single packs were created as incredible special because of the Corona Crap… so they are as cheap as we can make them… You are welcome to put together a number of single packs that works for you to make it cheaper. We are doing this to keep the chefs busy.

    • Also it has more things in the 6 combo… more different sides. We made the single pack as cheap as we can.

  • Just ordered for delivery on Sunday in Melbourne. Thank you!

    • Thank you!

Nutritional / Allergen info? Can't see it anywhere.

    • please DM me and I will be able to discuss your specific requirements.

      • +6

DM you? huh? You're required to declare pursuant to the Code lol.

          • +6

            @gregor20: Are you kidding me??

I want to buy your food.

If your food has a particular allergen I'll get sick.

            Help me out here.

You're required to provide this info anyways lol.

            • @Typical16-bitEnjoyer: not sure about that requirement, as a restaurant there is no requirement on us to provide this information. Restaurants do it voluntarily.

Our BBQ Meats contain traces of wheat, nuts and dairy. Sides contain wheat and dairy and traces of nuts. If you are allergic to any of these, PLEASE DO NOT BUY OUR FOOD.

              • +3

@gregor20: You might want to brush up on the VIC Food business requirements here, here and here before you make somebody sick.

Restaurant or not, you are packaging food for external sale. Time to update your website.

Under clause 4 of standard 1.2.3 of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code), eleven foods or substances are identified as requiring mandatory declaration on the label of packaged foods for sale in Australia. These foods or substances can cause an allergic, intolerant or auto-immune response in some people. Declaring the presence of these substances on the label of packaged food allows people with allergies to make informed and safe choices about the food they buy.

                • @Typical16-bitEnjoyer: ahmm please have a look https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2011C00610 it says it is no longer in force…

Maybe we were not clear before, we are happy to provide the allergen information… however after running a restaurant we know if you are allergic to something, it is better not to eat at restaurants. Large food producers make food on specific lines without cross-contamination. Whereas in restaurants all food comes from one kitchen. Therefore the chance of cross-contamination is not just high, it is definite.

                  • +2

@gregor20: ahmm that's not the correct link please have a look https://www.legislation.gov.au/Series/F2015L00397 . It's literally linked in my first 2 links. No idea how you stumbled onto an old revision. Google I assume?

I'm stunned how you are even in the food industry. Give Health.vic a call. They'll visit for free. They'll give you advice on all your practices to make sure you're compliant, safe and won't make people sick.

I love BBQ food. I was a potential customer but you've made it very difficult and given a shitload of attitude just to find out what you actually put in your food. 99% of businesses out there provide allergen advice and aren't dicks about it.

          • +3

@gregor20: Attitude just as poor as the food.

            • +1

@tp0: I guess you must have had a bad experience in our restaurant to be so angry. I'm sorry if that is the case, we certainly did not want that to happen. WE NEVER WANT OUR CUSTOMERS TO HAVE BAD EXPERIENCE. Given the circumstances, maybe you can give us break this time?

            • @tp0: I was going to make a purchase but the response to this question from @gregor20's has turned me off.

Asking people to give him a break on privacy and food requirements does not give me confidence in the business.

Can people trust your 100% money back guarantee or is information omitted from that?

              • +3

@arcticmonkey: Ordinarily I'd agree, but the service industry/retail/restaurants are all struggling right now. The poor bugger is probably a bit stressed out and trying to keep things running and answering questions on OzB probably isn't high on the priority list right now..

  • I tried to checkout with the combo back for 4-5 people at $134 but when I tried the code Corona on checkout it says the code is invalid.

Is the deal only on the smaller packs?

    • did you add a small pack into the who order? The Corona code only works for large packs. We found that if an order contains a large pack and single packs, the discount does not apply. We do not know why, but can't seem to fix it.

      • All i added to my cart was the one combo pack for 4-5 people @ $134 and the code was invalid.

I tried adding a small pack to the order which then doesn't even give you the option of putting in a code anymore.

        • Just tried it for your specific order and it worked… sorry to ask, but would you mind aborting the order and starting again. Not sure what else to do.

          • @gregor20: The code works when it's in capital letters. Took me a few attempts but CORONA worked, Corona didn't. You may want to update the description :)

            • @cookietime: thanks for letting me know and sorry for the trouble… will update.

  • Shipping ended up being cheaper for 3 singles ($10) than 2 ($15). So went with 3.

    Quite hungry now. Thanks!

    • thanks for the order.

  • Thanks just ordered for Perth delivery.

Iโ€™m a fly in fly out Worker and wanting to bring my own prepackaged meals to avoid eating buffet food with hundreds of other people, so hopefully this will make a nice change to frozen lean cuisine type meals.

    • great, hope you like everything!

  • I'd like to place an order OP. I'm presented with the option "Shipping" or "Local Delivery". Your checkout process is confusing.

    • sorry, local delivery is for Melbourne only… all other areas are shipping. We will fix this!

      • Ok thanks. Order placed. Good luck with your business.

        • thank you

  • Do you have any packs that can be picked up at your sister restaurant B3 in Brunswick? More convenient for us northsiders!

    • B3 has not been with us for 2.5 years…unfortunately no… but Port Melbourne is not far

  • Mine was just delivered tonight @11:30pm ??? and is not cold or frozen it seems like it's been in a bag in a guys car for hours. Doesn't seem safe to eat to me…

    • We are looking into this… no idea what has happened. The driver had the correct instructions and should have delivered the order by 9pm. Don't want to blame the driver, but in this case something happened on the way that has caused him to deliver the order at 11pm in the state that it was. Of course we will provide a refund.

    • Hoping the same doesn't happen today. Just received a txt saying order was arriving today after 5pm.
Odd because when ordered specifically chose delivery date to be next weekend, ah well not the end of the world as long it doesn't arrive at some odd hour

      • +1

As with everything, we are new to this so technical issues are showing up… we are working on resolutions as soon as we see issues pop up… the system decided not to tell us when people chose their order to be delivered. So we wanted to deliver as soon as we could. If you are ok to receive today, it will be delivered between 5pm and 8:30pm… if you could send us your order number to [email protected] I will be able to give you a more precise time

        • Have you sorted this issue out? i.e. Can you now see what date customers selected for delivery?

          • @Melburnian: still waiting for technical replies… we are looking at every order manually, this way we can find people's preferences… just makes our job a bit more difficult.

    • Had the same, and the beef ribs weren't vacuumed packed correctly, with lots of air space in it. Had to eat it at midnight as I didn't want to chance any issues.

Not going to blame them, its tough times, but need to look at their drivers/vacuum packing.

    • Mine were delivered at 10:30pm same night. Was a bit scary having a dude bang on the door that late at night, but did appreciate getting the order quickly!

All in all it tasted great. :) Keen to dine-in one day!

      • sorry about that, the driver really did not get the instructions…. we have since fixed this issue and all deliveries are done no later than 9pm.

  • Got my order delivered last night @ 8.30pm which was great, but it was missing 1 out of the 3 packs… op can you assist? I sent an email to [email protected]

  • Has anyone received this out of state? I am nervous as these guys are new to posting and if any delays with postage/courier the food will not arrive frozen

    • +3

sorry for delayed response, a few issues to deal with today… the interstate orders are all shipped in thick insulated foam boxes, with special slow melt ice packs. We have shipped hundreds of packs and had no issues… the few issues that people experience with local delivery is because we have never done local delivery of these packs and miscalculated on some of them on how much insulation is required for deliveries.

      • Thank you for reply :)

  • They sorted me out. Tough and Chaotic Times for everybody

    • thanks for your patience with us

      • Are you still honoring the birthday vouchers since we can't dine in anymore?

        • we are… we will honour all the vouchers that were due during this disaster once we are able to open again.

  • Has anyone not received their order yet? I'm in SE Vic.

edit: all good. Just got a call from them.

  • +2

Just had first pack of the beef ribs, all I can say is WOW! You would think being reheated it wouldn't taste as good but how wrong I was. Serving size was massive, could barely finish all the ribs and Mac n cheese. Simple enough to cook and meat was still very tender.
Will have to give the other options ago for sure! Thanks for the responsive service from Greg for sorting out the initial issues, can highly recommend and encourage others to give it a go

    • Great looking ribs… really glad it all worked out in the end!

  • Had the brisket pack last night, was delicious.

    • thank you, glad you liked it.

  • Hi I only got 4 salads in my order, but i was meant to get 8?

    • could you please let me know your order number

      • 1372

        • thank you, will look into it now. To confirm, which sides did you receive?

          • @gregor20: I opted for them all to be Russian salads, so there should have been 8 of them.

            • +1

@lonewolf: great, thanks… we will send the missing items on Monday. as well as a present for the stuff up!

  • Bought $144 BBQ sampler pack from Third Wave Cafe. Received an email at 10pm a day before pickup that there was a glitch in the system and we need to resend the type of meats in the pack.

We waited all day today for updates/order confirmation, when we called around 2pm the person on the phone had no clue. Got a call back after another half an hour of waiting, the order won't be ready for pick up until maybe tuesdayโ€ฆ

Totally understand they're under stain, but yeahโ€ฆ Definitely not a great experience so far.

  • Anyone know how to heat this up in a air fryer?

    • Sorry not sure… never used an air fryer… However, the basic idea is to have it defrosted first. Then set the temperature not too high. Baste the meat with BBQ sauce during the reheating process. Hope this helps.

      • I let the meat defrost for about 30 mins, I forgot to base it but put it in at 180 for 10 mins wrapped in foil, then based it unwrapped in the air fryer for another 2 mins, came out great.

Will try basing it for the 10 mins then finishing it off. Iโ€™m guessing if I donโ€™t have the foil after 12 mins will get too dry.

        • Good to hear. It is always better to foil, to keep the juices in. Basting it at first just adds a bit more flavour. Thanks for letting us know.

  • Had to throw out the Russian salad as everything came lukewarm (to Sydney). Cooked the ribs on medium heat but 50% just stuck to the foil with the sauce so was still pretty hungry. I'm sure this is great in the cafe/local, but it doesn't travel well…

    • Hi, sorry about about. Can you please DM your order number and we will organise to either refund or resend the items that you are saying had an issue with them.
