WiFi app to control and monitor the fridge

    Why?

    • Because!

    • +1

So you can check the fridge temperature and adjust if you want while the fridge is in the boot and you are on the seats in front.

Can be handy if it's in the car and you cant easily access the control panel, though in reality I doubt you'll be changing the settings too often, though maybe just to check the temp.

Have last year's Bluetooth model and use Kickass Fridge app instead, also shows you battery voltage which is probably more useful then checking temps, and can pull last 24 hours temp and voltage data from the fridge.

Just the place to keep your toilet paper if it's getting near the use-by date…

If you like cold and soggy toilet paper.

  • Bunnings were sellin a 65L companion duel zone black Ice fridge freezer 65l $80- $250 depending on which bunnings u went to
I was lucky enough to get about 12 for me n my mates when thay were on sale

    • Cheap! When was this?

      • The last one I found and got was $80 in December Cranbourne bunnings

Got last years model which was a bit cheaper but Bluetooth instead of WiFi. Can't fault it.

Been going 24/7 since I got it. Only taken camping a few times, ran well on an 80ah battery at fridge temps, the rest of the time doing duty as a chest freezer at home (figured if I'm spending $549 might as well get some good use out of it)

    • Seems like as good as unit as any budget option.

Really trying to figure out how I can swap my Waeco 45L for this without the missus finding out haha!

      • Yeah, as long as it's got a decent compressor and hasn't got paper thin walls you probably can't go wrong.

      • Just buy it and if she does notice tell her how you swapped it for a good deal years ago. Mine mostly doesn't notice lol.

        • +1

Haha I'm afraid she's pretty switched on normally and would notice this one pretty quickly.

          May be worth it still..

I always thought Bluetooth would be a better option than wifi, as it uses much less power.

  • Any battery packs to power it?

Tossing up between a 110ah agm & the LiFePO4 ones for 50% more.

    • Battery Box - $49.99
      160W Solar Panel - $169
      Deep Cycle Battery 80A - $199

      Not the greatest prices

  • Shhhhh… dont let the prepers know.

    • may useful in case corona virus go out of control in city.
