OMG, tyrian 2000 and Teenagent! I remember those from when i was a kid, fun games. Might be a good time also to finally finish Beneath a Steel Sky. Thanks!

Should go into forums. Have always been free and are permanently free.

There are some new free games added according to HUKD. I don't know which ones are the new additions - do you know which ones?

The list has been expanded since the original 12 then 20 and now it appears 27

      • All of these have always been free to my knowledge (even though some might have been added later than others such as Postal) and as per the rules they belong in the forum unfortunately. Personally I find this a shame as forums get less attention but as the rules are rules that is where they should be.
Plus some of them are merely demos (playable teaser) so they would not qualify anyway I think.
Sorry mate. But great post and list otherwise.
Looking at my list the things they added last (but still were always free) were three prologues and the playable teaser.

You wouldn't be complaining if it was an EGS post, you shill for them every other day.

@Kozhutki: Show where I have posted always free/permanently free games on the Epic Store?

More interestingly, what have I done to you that you are so hostile all the time?

            • @Lysander: They got the shits and cant get toilet paper

      • +2

The ones I didn't have before:

        Alder's Blood Prologue
        Builders of Egypt: Prologue
        CAYNE
        Eschalon: Book I
        Hello Neighbor (Alpha Version)
Jill of the Jungle: The Complete Trilogy
        Legend of Keepers: Prologue
        Overload (Playable Teaser)
        POSTAL: Classic and Uncut
        Shadow Warrior Classic Complete

I don't know if this means I missed them, or if they weren't free before.

        • +3

You really only missed out on 4 full games there. The rest are just playable demos.

          • +2

@g12345567: and which are the "4 full" ?

            • +3

              @capslock janitor: Eschalon: Book I
Jill of the Jungle: The Complete Trilogy
              POSTAL: Classic and Uncut
              Shadow Warrior Classic Complete

              • @ABH20: Actually the above except CAYNE not Eschalon: Book I

              • @ABH20: Jill, Postal and Shadow Warrior were definitely already permanently free. Dunno about the other one.

      • +3

There's 11 of them I didn't already own, and possibly wouldn't have known were available for free if not for this deal.

      • +2

Thank you for the alert @dealbot, appreciate your work.
Definitely some new giveaways in the list, and I am a serial free game collector.

      • I just loaded the link through and I own all of them except for the Prologue games which are just demos, Hello Neighbour Alpha Version, Overload Playable Teaser. The rest of the games have always been free.

I saw "Ultima" and thought wow - they're still making it: then I saw it's from 1984, just a year or two after I got my first computer :)

  • +3

These are some old games! e.g. Doomdark's Revenge is from 1985 and its (sole) developer Mike Singleton died in 2012. He would have turned 70 next year.

  • +1

    Tyrian 2000 - The first game I conquered when I was a kid :)

  • +12

On the first day of isolation GOG gave to me, Akalabeth: World of Doom…

    • +10

      Hope you're well mate.

In the meantime, you can also play Crusader Kings II with The Reaper's Due DLC if you got it for free on Steam a few days ago.

      • Showing as $14.50 for reapers due expansion or $7.50 for reapers due content pack to me :(

What site is giving it away?

  • +1

Time to stay inside at home and play all those free games they have been giving away.

Wouldn't count 6 prologue, teaser and alpha titles as full games. More like playable demos. As you only get part a small portion of game to try and they probably expect you to buy the full game to play the rest.

Lords of Midnight - Victory went to the Free……Hours of battling for a black screen and that…..Used it ever since to describe a massive anti-climax moment. Thanks I feel the need to go and battle on the Plains of Blood….

  • How do you add GWENT: The Witcher Card Game to your cart?

Every time I click free to add to my cart it opens link to the game

    • Gwent has always been Free to play

      • But how do you add it to your library?

It just opens a new link then downloads an exe..

  • +1

    More games in library

  • +2

None there that say play me

    • +1

Tyrian 2000, unless scrolling shooters aren't your thing.

  • +1

Any recommendations, they all look trash based upon n the names, few sound familiar.

If not I'll just download a gamepass game.

    • They're all really old games that have been free forever, nothing that I would recommend over Gamepass selection.

  • +1

Holy crap, Jill of the jungle!

  • +4

Beneath a Steel Sky is a great classic point-and-click adventure

  • Are any of these games worthy over cod warzone, it's huge file size 😞
