I didn't realise the code would work for one of the deals only, lucky they were in my preference order.

Just got a PC copy of Doom Eternal, $39 very pleased. Cancelled my amazon preorder.
They let you cancel? I just tried, and checked my email and it said "Cancellation failed. If you no longer want the item, you'll need to return it to us upon delivery." Which is fine; just surprised to see it worked for you.
If you can't cancel, it means they must have shipped it, I checked the status(track package) of my order before buying this off ebay and it wasn't shipped, so I was able to cancel.

I had one in my cart, put the code in and by the time it applied it they were sold out.
Made the mistake of spending an extra 30 seconds trying to figure out how to click & collect from the gamesmen store lol
Don't feel too bad. I carted and it sold out before I could pay. According to comments here the link opened a few minutes before 12pm so your chances were already lowered. With this little stock compared to the probable 1000s of people trying to access the site you would've needed to be on desktop on a wired connection to have the best chance. Though I did read that some people got it on mobile.
If this is a pre-order, do we get the pre-order DLC or is it too early before release?

I got a copy of the PC but I agree that being "in the running" to win a refresh lottery is hardly what I would call a reason to have it.
For me the PC was out of stock as soon as the link started working so you guys are pretty lucky that got one!
See that's really quite odd to me - because I refreshed it at the time, got it easily and then told someone else to refresh it and they got a pc copy easily.

I wasn't expecting there to be any stock remaining, especially four hours after it became available, but I just ordered a copy for the Xbox One.
No intention on playing it just yet, but I am happy to pay $50 now and support The Gamesmen.
that really tells you the difference between Animal Crossing and Doom fans… Granted there were 600 copies of Doom and only 300 AC but Doom is across several console
432 copies of Doom sold over past 24 hours so looks like a fair number left. PC sold out so I guess limited numbers there.
Another reason could be that the console versions of Doom were $10 dearer.
Doom will go down in price. AC won't.
