  • May I ask what’s difference of y530 and y7000 series? They looks same.

    • I'm not a Lenovo expert but there is only 1 Y530 model on their website and it is an 8th gen i5-8300H CPU and GTX 1050 GPU. Compared to the 3rd item listed above, there is a difference of $105. I'm not really sure about the value for money but probably worth the $105 to get the later spec'ed Y7000.

100% worth the upgrade of $105. The GPU alone is easily worth it for any task that requires or benefits from a dedicated GPU.

  • Damn bruh - literally bought the 9300 variant yesterday.

    • How much ?

  • Can this run PUBG lag free??

    • 1660 ti will crush it. Dunno about the other one

  • That i7 model looks like a great deal… 16g, windows pro…

    • That i7 model has been $1499 previously

      • Hmmm… thanks… Over a month on the delivery as well (compared to 3 days on the 1st model…)

    Hmmm…
    Must resist.
Ryzen 4000-H are just aroun the corner!

    • Yeah if you can wait - I think buying now is crazy. The Ryzen 4000 laptops are sounding amazing.

        How far away?

As it's likely computer components will go up in price due to manufacturing shortages in China…

That may be the case in the long term. But publicly traded companies have recently been trying to prop up their quarterly results in response to COVID-19, Msi has already extended warranties on a number of products and other laptop makers have reserve 9th gen stock lying around ready to be replaced by 10XXXH Intel cpus and 4000 series AMD processors. Businesses are fearing the current economic outlook, capitalise on that fear.

Now is not the time to panic buy hardware. Companies will be vying for your business for a while longer.

          • @TeddyBear: AU $ is quite low though and may fall even further. It may affect the prices.

            • @bob19: I didn’t account for a near 10% decrease in the value of the dollar when writing this. It remains to be seen if this sharp decline was just in response to the RBA and quantitative easing or if it represents a steep long term decline. I don’t believe this will affect prices too much in the short term (~5 days) due to stock on hand being already purchased from parent company arms and suppliers at the previous rate. This may even be the case for the new releases coming at the beginning of April. Although, outlets with no physical presence in Aus will be very obviously affected.

Got the i7 model from last deal at same price plus cash back. It's been great for me so far and well worth the money.

    • How is it compared to other laptops in the price range. I'm not a gamer though the specs on this thing for that price seems to good to be true
