Sorry about the link to the blue drawers, but the black/brown are no longer available online. Like many online, I quite like the black ALEX draweers/Karlby worktop combo.
Phoned IKEA and they informed me that as of the morning of 15/03/20 there were approximately 40 units in store.
Much to my surprise they were also only $79! instead of the usual $129 saving myself a $100 which will go nicely towards the counter top.
Hurry in - instore only as far as I'm aware, not sure about around AUS?
just bring your old receipt, buy two new ones and return using the old receipt on the spot

Yeah as far as I could tell. I was happy though, personally I think the black or grey (have seen online) are the best colours to go with the karlby walnut.
Be sure to check in store, online didnt have black. I called the Ikea main line and they directed me to the perth store which had the 40 units

Though the Karlby is pretty pricey much better getting finger jointed panel from Bunnings.

Not as thick as the 38mm Karlby but is a lot cheaper.
Unless you need the 2.4m of the Karlby as this one only goes up to 2.2m.
I have the 1.8m Merbau version which doesn't exist on the site (did a quick search).
It's not a mod, it's literally what they're made for lol
