I'm looking to get some recommendation for a small-medium size wedding (50-60ish people?) in Melbourne.
Would love to hear your personal experiences or someone else's wedding you may have attended.
No specific criteria at this stage other than something reasonably priced and it can be any location within let's say anywhere within 150km from Melbourne.

Realistically, from what we have looked into so far, it seems like we are probably looking around 10k for the event itself. Cheaper the better of course and we are happy to put the work in it.
Yeah I know the radius is fairly large, may be within 100km is probably more accurate haha. I just realised Ballarat is only 100km away.
So you've cast a net that has probably 1000 venues. I had a surprise wedding at an Absinthe bar in Collingwood a little over a year ago and the venue was free but the minimum spend on drinks was $2k. It was great because it was informal and no sit down meal, just ceremony, drinks and dancing.

What's your expectation/budget per head?
150km is a pretty wide radius, surely you must have a preference (think of the poor guest you expect to travel up to 300km!)
