Belong SIM Activation Issue

I took up this offer in January this year https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/445538

I referred myself to extend the account for further 2 months ie. $20 credit

I have tried to activate the new SIM after opting for new number and 1GB plan ($10), regardless of payment method can not complete activation. Tried using prepaid credit card with <$10 left on the card, normal Visa and Mastercard as well as Paypal linked to prepaid credit card

Looks like they still honoring $20 referral credit but can not activate unless spend >$20 which i do not want to do as this is just used as spare number to make test calls when out of the office for my job

Has Belong closed the loophole? anyone else have the problem or have a work around?

    Belong system is very flaky on its good days. Try tomorrow. Or the day after that. Maybe then the day after that.

      Sure, i have tried on those days ie. 3 different days. Maybe 4th time it will work

          No difference, own laptop and own internet, work computer and work connection, sisters laptop on mobile broadband

      Nope, different. Even colleague who was doing this is getting same error.

    I'm getting "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again later." on the very final step. So frustrating. Absolutely no details on the error. Other than a "500 Internal Server Error".

    Anyone did belong activation recently? I tried to activate a sim using referral code. Finally it always error says: The payment details entered are invalid. Check the details and try again.
    I tried credit card , Paypal. None worked. It happened on 18th June. I tried again on 27th June, still not work.
