      2. 4K resolution requires a 4K source, an HDMI cable and a standby display.

      3. Only compatible with external 2.5 '' hard disk drives and less than 1TB capacity.

      4. No limit to the vision

        upon doing some research, the surface pro 7 does support dp alt mode.

      With this type of adapter (there are many rebrands but same layout) you usually get either SD+TF or a USB Type-C female. This variant looks to be the former. I find the latter more useful, but they're less common for some reason that I don't understand.
