$6.95 KFC Dinner for 1 - 3 Pces Chicken, Roll, Potato Gravy, Coleslaw (VIC)

220

Dinner for 1 deal at KFC stores in Victoria.
$6.95 includes 3 pieces of original chicken, 1 reg potato & gravy, 1 reg coleslaw, 1 dinner roll

Reasonable deal? I personally don't eat the roll or the potato & gravy and would rather chips instead or a drink.

If only KFC would Home Deliver like in the US, Middle East and other places…, soo convienant and fun ! :(

      • +1

They did back in the 90's. I remember the ad jingle "KFC delivery - 13 33 33!"
        It didn't last long though.

          Still have the fridge magnet!

        • Good old 90s. I miss those days…….=[

      pancake parlour sucks

      • No, Pancake parlour is fine. I usually go there for the cozy atmosphere and comfortable seats when I'm catching up. You can't get the same environment in KFC can you? I guess it's just a personal choice.

Also jv, why neg this deal? You negs are usually very valid. I don't think you found a better deal..just different?

        • Okay i just saw the post below and finally got the point you were trying to make.

Yeah i guess these coupons are usually always available and nothing too special lol..

Thanks for the post anyways OP!

haha.. Now I felt silly to keep this docket and always worried if I return some goods I'll lose my favorite docket. Now I find out you can just print them.. LOL..

    • There are expiry dates on these, they don't recycle an identical set of vouchers every time that the old ones expire :/

      • they don't recycle an identical set of vouchers every time that the old ones expire

same offers come up again and again… just search on your postcode when you want something…

        • This isn't pizza, and similar isn't identical :) But yes, chances are at any point in time there will be vouchers for fast food ;)

At least one of the 3 pieces will be a "wing" = batter, skin, bone, fat and not much else.
Notice the promo pic does not show a wing? LOL

    • +7

I always ask for 'no wings or legs', and there's no extra charge to it.

      • I always go for legs and wings. Don't like tough pieces. Also make sharing the family meal easy. :)

        • +1

I always ask for no thigh pieces. They are so oily it makes me want to hurl. Only once did I get an argument and I threatened to cancel the order. This was years ago, though. Now what I primarily taste in KFC is salt so I tend not to buy.

Guys beware! always CHECK the box before leaving the store.

This happened to me in KFC westgate bridge (inbound traffic) just last week, mentioned "no wings please" when order, asked again "no wings right?" before leaving, only to find 7 PIECES OF WINGS out of 10.

      • I asked for the same once and tbh it was toss up as to which had the more meat on it the wing or the baby chicken breast!

      • I've tried that before, ended up getting x3 wings :(
They say it's random selection, you couldn't choose.

        • it really depends on who you get serving you though. My local KFC is pretty good, however I've once had a manager from some store that I've never been to telling me that I had to pay extra for specific selections. So I walked out, and drove to another KFC.

And if you like wings, they normally have a 5-wing pack for ~$5.50 (I think). This is not on the menu, but most KFCs woud have this to get rid of all the wings because of people like me. :)

  • I once found a dead centipede in the coleslaw. They gave us a new tub but I think the whole batch would have been compromised.

    • +2

      disturbing

      • +3

If you think that's disturbing, I actually ate some of the coleslaw before I found it…

        • Almost as good as finding a live one in a lone star restaurant salad. :) Went there with a few mates. His meal came extra fresh. :)

        • +5

          Protein! Om nom nom..

        • +4

better that you found a whole one then…… finding half a centipede would have been a lot more retch-inducing…..

    • +1

I remember reading somewhere years ago an estimate that the average person eats several hundred grams of insect parts mixed in their food per year. Most of those parts of minuscule of course and due to insects in the food chain, in harvesting, in storage, in carriage, even if all precautions are taken in processing. You just happened to find one of the larger intruders.

It could be worse, you could have found a live one. :)

    • +5

was that an original centipede or a hot and spicy?

      • I think it was more of a cold and slimy.

  • +1

I just glanced and read the title as '1-3 pieces of chicken'… was like, is it just down to luck here? :P

    • Or, dinner for 1: minus 3 Pcs of chicken. :)

This is where the endash or a colon is needed.

  • cheap as chips still the best deal

  • Why is maccas banned, but KFC is ok, what did I miss?
Dont get me wrong I cant stand either of them equally.
