Hi,
Does anyone know if there are websites that provides comparisons of superannuation funds? Any good advice on picking one?
Hi,
Does anyone know if there are websites that provides comparisons of superannuation funds? Any good advice on picking one?
Well this is best for a financial advisor.
For general informaiton, try SuperRatings or APHRA - government website which has statistics.
almost certainly an industry fund - http://industrysuperfunds.com.au/
Find a public offer fund ie open to the general public; most are. I have moved between 3 of them over the years depending on my needs.
Nice one. Looks very helpful.
Pretty comprehensive, think I'll start there. Thanks :)
Some of those comparison sites can "accidentally" exclude some funds.
If you are looking for a reasonable fund consider this one as well…
http://www.agest.com.au/
Australian Government Employees Superannuation Trust (anyone can join)
"Canstar Cannex has awarded AGEST's account based pension a five-star rating."
OzBargain has a wiki page that lists comparison websites:
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/list_of_price_comparison_si…
(Canstar is listed there)
Cheers I'll make sure I check these first next time :)
Once you have narrowed down to a hand full of funds, you can use AustralianSuper's compare tool for free: http://www.australiansuper.com/campaigns/compare.html
The data is compiled by http://www.chantwest.com.au, the catch is you have to compare your funds against AustralianSuper, which is not really a big deal (you can compare up to 10 funds at one go).
The comparison tool looks good but doesn't work in FF6. Will try other browsers.
It really does depend on a lot of factors. More info will get you a better answer!
