  • Way too much fees.

Edit: An application fee? Seriously? What about a fee for an offset account? $10 p/m???

    • Agreed.. that's why i listed them :)

Still might be good for someone who wants offset account instead of redraw only like Athena..

Does Well have a rate match guarantee for existing customers like Athena when rates are advertised to attract new customers?

    • Nothing unusual about paying a fee for an offset account, usually an annual fee though.

    • Offset is unheard of at this rate - even at $10/m it's a bargain imo and using offset you could well and truely 'offset', the monthly cost!

All your fees are, cough 'free', when you are getting pounded in the…. account with a higher rate. Most of these skinny operators seem to push the fees rather than absorb them and hike up the rate.

I once booked a ticket with an asian discount airline and there was a $10 ‘convenience fee’ when I asked what that was for they said the convenience of flying over other forms of travel

  • "Not covered by the Govt ADI $250k safety"

Is this a thing for home loans? I thought this was just for savings accounts?

    • Deposits in general I think. So if you had funds available, or say, in an Offset, it may not be guaranteed?

    • No Govt ADI, might as well go for Athena and redraw. Not the best situation if you ever want to lease but if you have no plans to ever lease the house out then no real drawbacks.

  • I don’t feel well after I saw the fees

If it's funded by Adelaide bank it should be covered as they are an ADI

I'm with wellhomeloans and would recommend them

The fees are fair and it's the best value offset featured loan I could find

They are transparent about existing customer home loan rates as they display it directly on their site.

  • Sorry they are covered by ADI : https://www.wellhomeloans.com.au/frequently-asked-questions/

Makes them very good for people with large loans as every .01 matters in that case.
