[Cancelled] Gold Coin Entry @ WA Maritime Museum - Saturday March 14

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Deal cancelled.

Please note this event has been cancelled by organisers due to the large number of people expected and current health concerns around mass gatherings. WA Museum sites are still open for business as our visitor patterns are more ‘moderate’ than ‘mass’. The health and well-being of visitors and staff is our top priority and we are following WA Government advice that there is not yet any health basis to close public spaces, including museums. ❕

Facebook Event

Normally $15/adult, kids free

In conjunction with Fremantle Ports’ Paint the Port Day, explore the State's maritime collections and galleries for a gold coin entry donation — everyone is welcome.

WA has the longest coastline out of any Australian state or territory — visit the Museum to explore our ocean-centric culture and see how the coast has shaped Western Australians.

  • See Australia II, the 1983 America’s Cup winning yacht, plus Jon Sander's Parry Endeavour and other iconic vessels
  • Explore the permanent galleries, such as the Indian Ocean Gallery, interactive WA Down Under Gallery, and more
  • Wander around our free quirky outdoor exhibition, Container

Free kids mural activity

Help paint the WA Maritime Museum sidecourt in our ‘Under the Sea’ sidewalk chalk mural. Colour in the coral and seagrass and create your own sea creature with finishing flourishes. This free facilitated kids activity will run 10.30am-2.30pm.

While you are here

Take in some of our special exhibitions (prices for entry) and make a full day of it:
