Very underrated RPG imo, one of my favourite games of all time.

This was an excellent game IMHO. The mechanics for aerial fights (with dragons and griffins) was awesome, haven't seen anything similar since. Also, the hunt experience for those legendary creatures was soooo much better than the lame hunts seen in games of better acclaim like RDR2

The real question - is it worth buying on the Switch for $26 when the PC version is $12 at Fanatical. I'm torn haha.

    • I guess Switch has the portability factor to go with it, but PC can run at 60fps+ whereas Switch is locked to 30fps.

That being said, I've bought this game twice already, and most likely gonna make a third time on Switch LOL.

    • It does chug a bit in fights with more than 5-6 enemies, especially when everything is casting spells and doing cool stuff.

Haven't done any of the end game dungeons yet but I expect they will chug a bit.

      • Yeah, saw a review that gave it bad ratings on the switch because it chugs a fair bit.

    • If it has cloud saves, I'd probably buy it on both. I'm playing The Witcher 3 atm both on PC and Switch and it's awesome

      • Does Witcher 3 do cross-platform saves? That's neat. I might consider it for that, but I'm also trying not to blow money on games I might forget to ever play hahaha.

Sure does. Only between Switch and PC (Steam and GOG). I hadn't played the DLCs so I've been playing on the Switch at work during lunch breaks, then jumping onto my PC at home for 4K goodness.
          It works well.

    • "They're masterworks all. You can't go wrong."

  • I've never played this game before (I thought I did), Got it for Switch and liked it enough to buy it for PC which is a better experience imho. As others have said it does chug and the gfx kind of suck on switch compared to PC's HD version.

I recommend this game on Switch if you don't have access to a decent PC otherwise the PC version is cheaper and better in every way.

Yeah, for the better price, performance and prettiness I think I'd probably prefer to get it on PC. The only reason I'd consider buying on the Switch is if I knew I liked it and wanted to play it on the go. Did something similar with Skyrim, which I've played for years on PC and wanted to be able to play anywhere.

  • 34% off.. I feel like they can do better. I'll come back when it's 60% off.
