I've recently signed up 10 mobile services on $45 Business Infinite plan on Vodafone.

I was offered 8 months free for all my sim only services, and 3 months free for all services I took a Samsung Galaxy S II.

I think this is by far the cheapest offer available on the market for sim only contracts, it works out to be $30/mth over 24 months and I was offered additional 1GB data per month on top of the standard $45 Infinite plan.

Also unlike a lot of the smaller reseller companies on the market, you are actually getting billed by Vodafone directly.

Call my Vodafone account manager to get approval for the same offer, he's a good friend of mine. Just mention you're referral by John from easy furniture. I think the offer is only available to business/coporate clients.

  • If you can actually make and finish a call without dropouts (or other known issues) with said network, then fair enough. However I don't like the sound (pardon the pun) of free calls if you have to keep calling the person back, let alone run a business - sounds to me 8 months is how long its going to take for them to do something about it.

To be fair, I think Vodafone has been quite reliable in my areas (Martin Pl, Darling Harbour & CBP) in the past few months, especially on the new 850Mhz network.

      • +5

I have had no problems in Adelaide CBD and suburbs :) the new 850Mhz network is awesome!

        1+
The new 850Mhz network has worked a treat, haven't seen less than 4 bars for a couple of months now, Brisbane coverage seems very good now… :)

      • To be fair, not everyone lives/works in (Martin Pl, Darling Harbour & CBP)

      • I agree I get excellent coverage along the north shore and inner west suburbs.

    • try upgrading your handset, you need an 850mhz device to sit on the vodafone new network. I think 850mhz is as advance as it goes in Australia, same network frequency as Telstra.

      • Hows does a frequency range make it "advanced"?

        • To be honest I'm not too sure myself, but I definitely get better reception now!

        • +1

LMAO. there is nothing advanced abt it. Its just that lower frequencies penetrate better and so have a better range and thereby a better coverage.

These comments are getting old now, voda has been working fine the past months.

      EDIT: @nats

The 850mHz spectrum is being rolled out quite heavily but is not turned on in all areas and those that it is turned on in, it is repeatedly on and off for testing so until major metro areas rollout is complete, VHF's services will continue to be just ok and not amazing.

The technology used by VHF is different from the Telstra NextG 850mHz spectrum so the speeds on VHF will not match NextG speeds where there is more advancement.

Galaxy S II free on the $45 + $5 plan?
The + $5 is for the phone.
    $5 != free

    • Haha but the three months free credits have pretty much taken care of the monthly $5 anyway

    • vodafone website now says free (45 + 0) for S II as online special.

      • damn you serious?? Well atleast I was not ripped off then…

$45 is all you a month… Jeez these plans are getting cheaper by the minute….
Got my self a SGS2 last week…. its works much better compared to an Iphone4 when it comes to connecting the mobile network.

      • yeah its insane how cheap the deal goes, perhaps i should have waited a few more days…

  • 850Mhz network here in South Yarra sucks. Waiting till iPhone 5, and Telstra here I come! I don't get how Vodafail expects to function by offering such deals which only further clog up their networks.

    • I lost my service 10 seconds after i posted my message above lol

    • more people jump on their 850mhz network = less will be sitting on old 3g/2g, i believe telstra runs the 850mhz anyway

    • Oh damn, I was considering Vodaphone, but I'm also in South Yarra. Deal breaker…

  • Very good deal, but there is no way I will on board with voda, they just too crap…

  • +3

Seems like this is from a Vodafone reseller and not vodafone direct.
Sure vodafone will be offering similar discounts but will never use the 'referral' sales method.

Thats just a dodgy sales person wanting more commissions..

The post coming from another person pretending to be running a business who just joined last week adds more suspicion..

If I was really from furniture plus I would first be advertising my own business rather than giving away a mobile number for a sales rep for a vodafone reseller..

    • you're being too suspecious mate, he's good friend of mine who's done me a good deal n that is all haha

    • +3

@ easyfurniture1, Thanks for posting this deal OP, you giving access to something people would otherwise not have had. I guess if people are unsure regarding a mobile number to be contacted, or him being a reseller, perhaps you could post the Voda Account Manager's direct work line/extension?

@ Dealayed, Even if he was a reseller, I still haven't seen the infinite plan for $30. Are there any potential issues that I am not aware of ir purchasing from a reseller?

@OzBargain, Yes the network can still be pretty crappy in quite a few areas, but Vodafone has improved their networks significantly as a result of the vodafail movement and are continuing with rollouts so its only going to get better from here, especially with 850 network provided you have a compatible handset.

      • I only have his mobile number just give him a ring im sure he will give you more info mate

      • please ignore the galaxy deal, I just found out above its being offered online for 45 anyway.

he's definately not a reseller, i get bills directly off Vodafone.

      • +1

Potential issue - Your application is being forwarded by a third party.
What controls do they have in place that will ensure that my personal details will not be sold to another company and I will not be a victim of a scam???

Sorry but i think i know another Vodafone reseller who can beat this deal, so i guess it is not a deal,If anyone wants more info on the deal pls let me know and i will post that guy's info.

    thanks

    • +3

      Detail pls?

    • +2

You think you know, or do you know of a better offer? Without being able to see it we can't judge whether it's better than the posted offer.

      • ok mate, give me 30 mins. thanks

        • Make it happen prince. We are awaiting eagerly :)

    • +1

Vodafail should give away FREE access for a month, so people can test.

There is NO WAY in the world I would risk joining a plan with them andporting my number across.

  • ok mate, give me 30 mins. thanks

    • +3

Okay so while we wait for the prince10 deal - I have one too, how about Infinite Plan for $19.38 per month?

      Here's how it works:
      1. Using John's SGS2 offer above, we pay $45 + $5 MRO per month over 2 years = $50 x 24months = $1,200
      2. We get three months access credited back as per offer = $1200 - (3months x $45) = $1065
      3. Sell the SGS2 on ebay for an easy $600 and offset against total cost = $1065 - $600 = $465
      4. Work out monthly cost = $465 / 24months = $19.38

      That's $19.38 per month for:
      - Unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles in Australia
      - Unlimited SMS and MMS in Australia and International
      - Unlimited social networking
      - 500mb data (possibly 1.5GB data if John's 1GB bonus data applies to the SGS2 offer)

      What do you guys think?

      • good one , i am still waiting, will update soon , sorry for the delay

      • +1

        Further to my above idea:

        1. Since SGS2 is currently free on 24 month plan direct from vodafone, using my above calculation method you only pay $20 a month:
          ((45 x 24) - 600) / 24
          =$20 per month

        2. For those of you who only want to make a 12 month commitment, you can get $30 a month as the SGS2 is currently $35 on the $45 plan:
          (((45 + 35) x 12) - 600) / 12
          =$30 per month

These are good options if you are not comfortable with John's referral method above and don't want to have to deal with the hassle of ensuring your account gets re-credited for the "free access fee" months.

ALSO NOTE on all Infinite plans you get $45 credit to use towards Voicemail, 13 / 1800 numbers, Re-routed calls and calls to National and International Directories.

Nice one ccrap, you can add 84$ cashback by moneyback co to this

Holy Guacamole! Well spotted rasun81 That makes the Voda Direct offers at:

          • 24 months: $16.50 per month
          • 12 months: $23.00 per month

Ok, now I'm just itching to buy it, can anyone add any further to this? I don't want buyers remorse in case more cheapness is discovered :)

  • I was originally happy with Vodaf, but recently (last 2 months) the reception has gone to SHITZ.
I am in south yarra and melbourne cbd area

  • reception has been good for me under the new 850 network but the 3g internet has been horrid to say the least.

    lol! must be THAT good!

  • Can i connect 3g if i sign contract with voda and live in Kerang?
Last time when i moved to kerang, i can not use 3g.

  • Does this deal have the 13/1300/1800-number sting in the tail?

    • Yes, however I just called Vodafone regarding this and you get $45 "credit" to use against "Voicemail, 13 / 1800 numbers, Re-routed calls and calls to National and International Directories"

This is the charges from their website:
Minimum spend inclusions (when in Australia)
      Voicemail retrieval 25c per 30 secs + 35c flagfall
      13 and 1800 numbers 25c per 30 secs + 35c flagfall
      Re-Routed calls 60c per 30 secs + 40c flagfall
      Re-Routed TXT 28c
Directory Assist (1223/1225) $1.10 Connection plus Standard call rate if thru connected

  • Hi, Vodafone does give small incentives if you refer them to someone who signs a plan. But this "deal" is legit. Problem is that the network is still shite and they know it. I got out of a plan after complaining about the call drop-outs and loss of business due to poor mobile reception. If you do genuinely suffer from poor reception they will let you out of your plan.

  • Out of curiosit what mobile broadband speeds can you get through Vodafones 850MHz network? Has anyone tried it?

  • Someone correct me if I'm wrong. This deal is only valid if you call the Vodafone manager mentioned in the post. You can't apply for this online and hence you cannot get $84 MBC with this offer. And it is only for business or corporate customers. Am I right?

  • +1

I live in an area that has 850mhz coverage its worse now than before. I have suffered for the last year with vodafail. Luckily I am on 12 months contract finishing in a few days. Strongly advise not taking up any vf offer as its completely worthless. To rub salt into my wounds, they never gave me the data I was entitled to instead they deducted from my cap. And yes I have sgs2 with 850 mhz band.

    • Why would they deduct it from your cap?

      Sorry for my ignorance.

Believe it or not I've been on vodafone for the last year and a half and I've been fine with them. I don't know if it's the area I'm in..

Is Vodafone really that bad compared to Optus? I know Telsta gives you better coverage.

      • Not only did they deduct data charges from my cap that were supposed to be free, they also said it was my fault for not picking up on it earlier

        • +1

I've never heard of Vodafone deducting data charges from caps since the way they charge them both is totally separate…

I find internet use on the mobile is slow or doesn't work in some areas. Other than those few areas I use them in, internet has been good and calls rarely drop for me where I live (north brisbane). I have 4GB with my plan and downloaded torrents with them fine over night. On the last few nights before my quota got refreshed, I downloaded 3GB in one night since I had so much data left. Have been with Voda since September last year and before that was with Optus. Honestly, I don't think there has been much of a difference with the two providers. The only time calls and internet have been terrible with Voda was during the Christmas period when they had those network problems but since they fixed that, it's been working great for me.

  • anyone else got the deal?
