Paypal is a payment provider like a bank. Do banks offer discount codes?

What normally happens is the merchant provides the discount when you pay with PayPal. For that reason there's no such thing a a generic PayPal discount code.

Thanks for the response but I'm going to say lie your first line sounds very condescending and smug. Actually in the past they have:

      https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Buying/Ready-for-u…

      https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Products-Archive/1…

Granted not all go smoothly or are valid for our country but they do exist.

Which were never anything you could just claim, Paypal sent you the offer

Feel free to see past deals here, you won't find a straight free discount from Paypal that's an opt in, at least not in the last 2yrs

        are valid for our country

Which made your examples redundant, and first commenter pretty accurate

That's fine. Here's the thing though you yourself admitted there had been opt in deals in the past so it's perfectly valid to ask if there were any current ones. Secondly they aren't redundant I was using them to demonstrate that PayPal has indeed done so in the past which again you yourself admitted :)

            Umm when?

you won't find a straight free discount from Paypal that's an opt in

            And what?

I was using them to demonstrate that PayPal has indeed done so in the past

            In a different country!

            • @spackbace: Alright, I misread the first part I apologise for that.

So what if it's a different country though? It shows they have and again that there was no harm in asking :)

@[Deactivated]: You asked, you got an answer from someone who was using this country as their reference point.

The rest of your comments here are just you arguing with people.

You had no need to barrage him with examples from other countries. It didn't prove your point whatsoever and made you come across as a d…

                • @spackbace: Fair Enough you're entitled to your opinion but again there's the thing if he hadn't of made that opening comment and simply said no. I literally would have said thanks and been on my way. Surely you can at least appreciate that.

@[Deactivated]: If a comment like this:

                    Do banks offer discount codes?

Upsets you, then you really aren't old enough to be using the internet

                    • @spackbace: Yeah ok . Like I said he was clearly being condescending and there was really no need. Have a nice day either way

Been a member for over a year and this is your first post…

And your first reply is to be negative to someone you have you a decent answer…

I look forward to a better post from you in 2021…

Hey OP attacking a member when they are helping, just because you don't like/agree with their answer, isn't the way to win friends and influence people.

You're the one who sounds condescending and smug.

Buddy he literally did condescend to me.

" Paypal is a payment provider like a bank. Do banks offer discount codes? " < he was clearly being an ass.

Why not just say no they no longer do that or no not that I'm aware of? It would have been much kinder :)

    • Do your own research if you don't like other people's. His statement was correct.

      • This statement may indeed be correct for our country and while I appreciate it what I don't appreciate was his wording or how he came across. That's all.

        • +1

His wording was fine. You'd have to have pretty think skin to be offended by that, whirlpool forums may be more your speed.

        • Because it was stuck to the chickens foot! Bam
