Alarm Clock with Internet Radio?

Yo, so I've just moved and my old alarm clock that I'd wake up to ABC Canberra with doesn't get reception for ANYTHING here.

I've tried with its little antenna in all sorts of places and I can just not pick up anything.

I figure internet radio might be the way to go here but I don't know how to find one, the only ones I've found are super expensive. Don't want to use my phone for an alarm, cause if I wake up with it next to me I don't get out of bed and just browse the net half asleep.

Any ideas? Just want to wake up to AM radio again :(

Have a look at the Lenovo Smart Clock on this deal:

  • Why not go the beep beep beep

    • Cause I don't hate myself haha. Also I'm a very heavy sleeper, with traditional alarms I just turn them off while still asleep and wake up hours later with no recollection.

Amazon Echo's have internet radio and can be used as an Alarm Clock
This is what i do :)

  • Google Home Mini

Unless you really need a display?

Can set alarms, can stream any internet radio station etc and can pick it up for under $50

I actually didn't know about this one:

Google has also added interactive alarms for kids, giving users the ability to set up an alarm using messages from characters from Lego and Nickelodeon, instead of Assistant. These alarms will have music, jokes, facts, words of encouragement and other messages from characters in the shows.
For example, you can have one of the characters from Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles help remind the kids it’s time to finish playing and get in the bath. Just say, “Hey Google, set a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle alarm for 8pm.”

    • Should have specified - I really don't want any smart devices, I understand how clever they are but don't feel like I need to be talking to my technology and the less power Google / Amazon have in my life the better I would think.

Yet your phone is beside your bed… You're aware of the irony in that yeah?

        • Less, not none. My phone doesn't have the google assistant on 24/7?

Doesn't mean a thing, government agencies still have access. And god knows what the phone, or your social media is sending back home

            • @spackbace: Not really fussed about the government tbh, I trust them slightly more than I trust Google or Amazon haha

@spackbace: Do they listen in when I'm having my private time?

Grace Digital Mondo+, the alarms have their own volume settings radio station, etc. Volume comes on slowly, display can be completely dimmed, has backup chime if no internet, WiFi, wired via USB, may have to adjust time zone to suit Australia twice per year.
