Hi,
Has anyone been on this flight in the last 2 weeks?
We are due to fly soon and wonder how it's like, and are there any special things that we should know about…..
Thanking you in advance.

To whom?
You choose. When you smack into the Pacific it won't matter.
Unless it's Neptune or Poseidon.
@theHMASfriendship: That's true. I'll remember them for next time.
veri helpful. did not know. tyvm
What exactly could there be that is special? You're on a plane, it sucks, then you get off.
it sucks

Hmm, they're pressurised, so technically they blow.
It's on a 787 so if you like looking out the window you'll be disappointed.
Its a long flight and its uncomfortable. Just don’t eat too much, have plenty of water, avoid alcohol and maybe take a sleeping pill to help you sleep. Wear comfortable clothes and maybe wear a hoodie to keep you warm on the flight as it can get cold. Complete your USA ESTA application and have a good trip.
8 hours to get a proper response.
Thanks Halo, you are most kind. Breathe of fresh air and a perfect role model. Bless you!
I wasn’t sure how to phrase my question, a bit beaten lately.
Just discovered flightaware and subscribed. Will get updates and hope that would settle me down.
Have you done much flying before? What’s the longest flight you’ve been on? Do you have any particular concerns?
I’m in my mid fifties and have done plenty of traveling.
Longest nonstop flight was Brisbane Dallas for 16 hours.
My concern is the world has gone crazy starting late last year…
Drought, bushfire, flood, virus,, flu, facemask, toiletpaper…..
I don’t know what I don’t know……
@Pumpkin_rrr: Planes still fly and follow the same procedures they have for 50 years. If coronavirus is the worry then you might want to consider some antiseptic wipes to wipe down your seat, tray table, tv screen, etc - anything you’ll touch during the flight. Then you could try wearing masks throughout the flight but that will be a pain too. Sometimes we just have to roll the dice and hope for the best! Enjoy your flight and have a great trip.
@Halo375: They reckon infection through objects is not a likely vector. Also the recommendation is to wear a mask only if you're showing symptoms.
Probably better to take hand sanitizer and use frequently, together with avoiding touching the face.
@AncientWisdom: Agree, however the mask can work well at stopping your contaminated hand from touching your face instinctively.
@Halo375: Thanks Halo & Wisdom, you are very kind.

Thanks Wisdom.
Saw the Qantas one but miss the ABC. Interesting…..
The plane has wings. If they fall off then pray.
Ask nicely at check-in for seat 1A
Take the toilet paper out of the rest rooms.
Turbulence is real
