    • Yes. 10% GST

    • Divide price by 1.1 to calculate pre-GST price. Cashback is calculated on that.

Thanks, ordered a few bottles of gin.

  • is it still ok to get cashback if I use "Iherb reward code" to get further 5% off discount ?

  • 25% off first choice is ridiculously good!

if you owned a bar or restaurant, youd be like a kid in a candy shop!

  • +1

Ordered asahi cans and pixie cider.

    Thanks!

I put through an order at First Choice, $511 in total, followed all the steps, no ad blockers etc. Made a recording while following all the procedures. Now if Shopback doesn't track my order I will have solid evidence. I didn't even use my Flybuys card just in case it may "violate" their terms of usage. Let's find out in the next few days what will happen. Btw this is what I ordered:
    Your Products:
    Qty
    Price
    Canadian Club Whisky 700mL
    2
    $70.00
    Gordons Gin 700mL

    Bundaberg Mutiny Spiced Rum 700mL

    • Decent. Coruba rum is $35 too and Malibu, Bailey's and I think midori are $38 for 1L if you like making cocktails. Though I'm sure you've spent enough haha

      • Yes I know good price on them … but I already have all of them and didn't want to bring the price of the cart much above $500

    • Does flybuys void cash back?

      • That's what I wanted to know. I didn't use flybuys just in case it voids cashback

      • +2

Adding your flybuys card details doesn’t . I have always used them and never had issues tracking or cashback being declined .However , should not use promo codes unless it’s on ShopBack website .

        • Good to know, thanks!

How long did it take for First Choice to confirm it was tracking the CB?

    • Next party at your place!!

      • Sure, I'll also invite Mr Escobar's daughter to bring some delicatessen from Colombia.

    • Ah shit, Flybuys was linked. Hopefully that doesn't void it.

Well done on the recording haha

  • +1

Looks like they have removed a lot of items from online. Either that or they suddenly all sold out. Was looking at some beers (there one moment, gone the next)!

    • Yes, they had removed the Carlsberg 500ml and Jim Beam from my cart.

      • Actually. I was wrong, not sure what happened. I found what I was looking for, Balter XPA, Wild Yak and 4 Pines. Excellent. Have ordered some. Nice savings.

  • +1

25% is HUGE, esp when there is quite a few specials on! Ive never seen this much booze on sale ever!

    ::::

doesnt bother me, so ive provided this info, but I know some people wouldnt like it

    • Personally I wouldn't.

    • Has happened to me with several businesses including First Choice and BWS. Supplied info. No problems.

      • +1

To be honest, ive never worried about these situations and always provide the info required ,
As long as i did place the order

I just take it as them covering their backside

Just spent over $1K using Paypal. Went through without a hitch.

    • +1

      Legend

  • Gonna cop a case of Grolsch for $36 after cashback. Not bad I guess?

edit nvm not in stock in ACT when I try checkout..

  • iHerb - the regular price of the multi-vitamin I purchased in December is ~$4 more expensive.

    • +1

Many prices have been jacked, however I found they included GST.

Im getting rewards too, which I think is 5% added? I was never getting that before! So it looks like theyre giving 5% rewards from what you buy again!

      • True, but the standard list price on my last order was cheaper.
Hence - with an increased cashback = price jacking.

        • +1

Yeah, well compared to 2018 all the greens powders I use to order went from $95 to $140+
It's ridiculous, so basically I have to wait for one to be 10% off plus a 25% cashback like this to make it affordable lol

It is what it is unfortunately. I actually find alot of vitamins cheaper here now on sale, only certain brands are cheaper. Iherb isn't cheap anymore.

  • I enjoyed reading the OzB community's alcohol orders in this thread. My liver approves.

Pulled the trigger on a case of Verve for abour $46.5/bottle after CB. Thanks OP.

Saw this on the shopback website, with no terms or conditions. So I load the cart and check online to see that it expired at 6pm, and I almost purchased after then.

Great work shopback. You can jam that Iherb offer where the grass doesn't grow

    • +2

This was very clearly stated to be available between 4pm and 6pm only.

  • I assume the usual about gift cards voiding this cashback?

    • +1

      That's correct

  • I had problems processing payment as well. I was challenged by 1st Choice to prove I was not a robot, refreshed and got it done. 25% CB, well we will wait & see…but there is lots of evidence here that the website had issues & we should NOT be penalised for that. Agree that 1st Choice provide crap service & FB points take 4 mths to get credited, if you chase them.

    • No SB yet, but iherb already came through lol fml

    • Yes, wouldn’t let me pay, disappointing to miss out.

  • Mine just tracked.

  • Can you combine the unidays discount with this for catch?

  • Just got confirmation of tracked purchase as well. Yay for my Corona virus party stack!

  • 8bitdo snes30 Controller for $45~ delivered ($7.15 tracked).

  • My booze order was just confirmed as tracked. Will be able to celebrate popping my Shopback cherry in style when it is processed :)

  • Just tracked

  • Just tracked
    Pity its ex gst

  • Well my 4 orders worked

    4x Carlton draught slabs
    4x Carlton draught slabs
    4x Carlton draught slabs
$35 a case after cash back
And 2 free slabs of Jim beam cans
Due to my canceled order being refunded but the shop had already processed it and had it in my pallet plus $33 cash back on the jimmy cans

  • I what’s capped? The cash back amount? Is is cashback capped to a $30 spend ?

    • +1

Two of the three deals were capped at $30 Shopback cashback.

    • -1

its pretty clear whats capped and whats not,
      plus its already finished

  • More interested in iherb I like my 6 pack you have your beer mate.
    Doesn’t finish until 8pm

    • wow, please tell me how you manage to get a deal that expired yesterday to work today

I could really use that skill

  • In hindsight looking back at this first choice deal, I reckon it's one of the best booze deals ever,

Regretting not selling a kidney and buying more

    • +2

I'm torn. Sure it was a great opportunity to save but at the end of the day I would have just upped my alcohol consumpiton and negated the savings anyway. Probably best for my liver that I showed restraint.

I bought a couple of bottles of spirits to replenish the booze cupboard plus a couple of bottles of stuff in case I have guests over but didn't go hog wild just because I was "saving" money.

If I had expensive tastes and a heap of disposable income it probably would have been a different story lol.

On another note, my order shipped already so it should be here be the end of the week hopefully.

  • +2

Can see why peoples hate for the first choice website, my past few experiences have been fine
but the latest, asking for credit card photos, driver license photo within24 hours or cancel,
provided, no reply, for over 24 hours,
then payment declined, please call to reprovide the same credit card details,
then they forgot to order it to all 3 orders, even though we were talking about it
then they only approved 2 orders,
then I call to be told the max is 2 per customer and you should have received an email, which didnt come,
no where on the site does it say on the site, yet I can go into the website now and add 3 to my cart

    • I would call again and complain. You might have talked to someone who didn't know what they were talking about. Someone above said they bought 4x4 cartons of beer.

      • my 2 x orders have cleared now so its ok, at 25% off its well worth the hassle :)

but Ive heard on previous deals peoples order being approved, ready to collect, get to store, and the store has no idea of hte order,
        send email/call to head office,
        no reply

        • Yeah, first choice is terrible when it comes to communication. I'm still waiting for my click n collect SMS. I tried emailing them to find out what is wrong, but to no avail. I can't even be bothered calling them this time because last time I called them, I waited an hour and no one picked up.

          • @griffith 101: I got my click ane collect SMS within an hour of ordering. I suppose it comes down to the store.

          • @griffith 101: Well at least I've got 3 tracked orders when I only paid for two

Hopefully due to their systems, I'll get cashback for the cancelled order

    • Depends on who you talk to. Some staff asked me for ID and the credit card I paid with, others only needed to see my ID when I went to pick up my order.

  • My order arrived today on the Gold Coast. Pretty happy with two day delivery via AusPost.

For anyone looking to use a parcel locker, I tried redirecting the package and they said it couldn't be done. Bit wierd as you can redirect BoozeBud orders to a parcel locker withut issue.

am unable to see any amount reflecting in my shopback account - is there any time period for the same?

  • +1

Has anyone else had issues with cashback tracking on this deal? This is the first time I have ever had an issue with cashback tracking, coincidentally with my largest cashback claim. I submitted a missing cashback claim and recieved the following response:

Upon receiving the updates from First Choice Liquor, your Missing Cashback claim for Order ID 5#####51 was rejected because your order was not attributed to ShopBack.
While you have made a purchase on First Choice Liquor via the ShopBack platform, the following scenarios may have disrupted the trackability of your transaction:
    1. Using promo codes that are not eligible for cashback
    2. Opening of web pages (including search sites, social media, store sites, promotional/discount sites) or web browsers after clicking through ShopBack
    3. Clicking through to another page from a banner or an advertisement on the store’s website whilst shopping

I used a chrome incognito window on a PC, no other incognito windows open, logged into shopback, clicked through to FCL, logged in to FCL and clicked through shopback again just to be sure, added items to card and made a purchase. I had no other pages open aside from SB & FCL, no extensions (incognito), no ad block, no other clicks except SB and FCL, no promo codes and no gift cards used. Order was completed and picked up with no alteration or issues on FCL's side. Followed Cashback instructions to the letter and they claim that the transaction failed to track. As a result I am now short of $68 in cashback.

This is the first time I have had any issue with cashback using the above method in over 100+ cashback transactions, both with Shopback and also Cashrewards. I will be avoiding Shopback moving forward.

    • mine tracked, but it tracked at a weird rate, supposed to be 12 %
      tracked at 7.2% ex gst,

also I ordered those mysterpacks, and the cash back has tracked in 20+ smaller amounts

ive raised it and they want a order confirmation from me

    • Got exactly the same email but for iherb when submitted missing cashback. It's definitely hard to defend yourself unless you're videorecording the transaction. I will be doing this and reccommending everyone do this in the future.

From this incident and previous flash sales I've participated in, I'm not confident that iherb is honouring all higher percentage cashback transactions in alignment with the Australian Consumer and Competition Commision. I do not feel confident that iherb will not claim a percentage of correctly clicked transactions had "disrupted trackability."

    • Yes. The FCL website was giving problems (others reported the same problem) so I had to click through 4 times. Last time I cleared my cache and started the whole process from scratch. If FCL doesn't honour the deal I will be reporting them and Shopback to the ACCC and local consumer affairs and returning the products. Shopback may be "innocent" bystanders but imo it's up to them to put pressure on FCL to fix the problem as SB were offering the inducement.

  • mine wasn't track as well.

  • +2

My Iherb transaction wasn't also tracked and has been rejected. This is the very first time getting rejected.
    Not happy at all

  • +1

Got my First choice order today but they mixed it up. I ordered 4 cheap bottles of vodka and got 4 bottles of bombay sapphire gin instead. I'm not too sad though since the gin is worth $15 more per bottle than the vodka I ordered.

  • +1

My cashback was initially rejected but have since contacted shopback's customer service and they processed the cashback on the spot. Stellar service from ShopBack.

    • Fixed mine also, but I did mention the ACCC and their responsibility as promoters in my claim. Won't be falling into the FCL/LL trap again though. They don't have a clue about their own promotions. Still waiting for them to fix their bonus FlyBuys offer from December.

  • ShopBack/Catch didnt track mine after 8 days, rejected my manual claim. Dodgy af.

  • 10 days later, still no delivery from FCL - anyone else still waiting? I'm in metro Melbourne too :\

  • Did anyone receive the 2000 bonus flybys points on $99+ spend?
