It sure does. I bought some on special from the supermarket and my wife hates it
Apart from smelling bad itself, I found it made the original odour worse after this wore off.
At $4, the woolworths own brand in the blue spray can, smells really nice, and is still 60% ethanol, so still kills all the virii we need.
It also has a second active biocide that glen20 doesnt.
Not quite as cheap; but when i buy something, i like it to have active ingredients, not just water.
The masses haven't panic bought it all yet?
I dont think it kills coronavirus mate.
Nor do the paper masks do fcuk all but people are still buying them in a mass hysteria.
Its true, they area buying it all. My boss just came to my desk and sprayed it all over the office saying 'We need to protect ourselves! We're all going to get the virus, but we will live'.. Everyones lost it hahaha
@graceyym: he meant, "We're all going to get the virus, but we will live as zombie just like the walking dead tv show"
@CyberMurning: Thank god I had you to translate for me hahaha
I don't want to trigger mass buying for this but according to their website it does kill caronavirus (the 1.0) whereas the new covic19 strain just hasn't been tested yet
Glen 20 is not listed as effective in that link!
The products that have been lab tested as effective on usual Coronavirus are:
Dettol Antibacterial Surface Cleanser Spray,
Dettol Antibacterial Surface Cleanser Wipes,
Dettol All-In-One Disinfectant Spray, and
Dettol Disinfectant Liquid.
Glen 20 is not listed as effective in that link!
Lol, that's because it's Dettol's website and they're talking about whether Dettol products are effective against coronavirus or not.
@CocaKoala: Lol back at you😉
FACTCHECK:
Glen 20 IS a Dettol product!
Even prominently shows the Dettol logo in the thumbnail photo of this Deal!
Problem was that is the UK site. Australian site hadn't got details of Coronavirus.
@INFIDEL: We've had it stated directly that 60% alcohol or greater will work.
Glen20 is 60% ethanol.
@MasterScythe: What about 100% ethanol ?
@madrigal: Yep; ive already bought some metholated spirits from bunnings and a few spray bottles with viton seals.
Cheap, and if we do get officially quarantined, i just want some way to protect others from myself.
Peace of mind, if nothing else.
@MasterScythe: Real peace of mind?

new covic19 strain
Actually, it's COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019)
Not sure if this is legit, but at least the hospital grade one is meant to kill strains of coronavirus? As it just says hospital grade explicitly, perhaps the household one won't?
hospital grade
You're treating marketing as though it has some connection to reality.
It's essentially sprayable isopropyl alcohol, so most likely it will kill corona, along with everything else because isopropyl doesn't care.
But everyone's correct stuff stinks and makes me sneeze, which is kinda funny
https://www.cos.net.au/msds/CLEA5210.pdf
MSDS lists ethanol as number 1 ingredient in case anyone is curious.
Ethanol 60% w/w
Certainly does.
Well it contains alcohol which has been proven to eliminate coronavirus on hard surfaces, but the fact that it is not outsold everywhere is because it's a highly flammable product which can not be shipped overseas. We're out of n95 masks and gloves everywhere not due to domestic demand.

I bought some at bunnings last night for working with MDF; should I hoard them? Or use them sparingly? lol
You are lucky. Been looking for some but they are either out of stock or hiked the price so much, being an ozbargainer, I'd rather die :)
@Rimas: Would explain why they were hard to find.
None in the tool shop; but 3 packs in the insecticide aisle.
So i have 9 masks to last me however many speaker boxes I build.
Better reuse them for a while i guess.
What did you need them for?
@MasterScythe: Travelling to Dubai this week so I thought i should wear one while in there and in transit. Looked for it pretty much in all bunnings and chemist warehouse in sydney's north. A dollar shop in westfield chatswood had them for 16 dollars a piece. Unbelievable.
No stock anywhere near me.
what do people spray on?
Anyone coughing or sneezing on public transport 😁
underarms
Groin.
My mate Glenn who just turned 20
After I fart.
I knew someone who used to actually do this.
overseas students on the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines.
Spray the country scent one on smokers, then say "welcome to flavour country"
Where is Crisp Linen?
Clearly a Glen 20 product, but never on sale.
What gives?
This is the only one I use.
It's the best smell.
Makes your room smell like a (Moderately priced) hotel.
Looks like Crisp Linen is only available in a 175g can. Used to be $4.50 normal price at ColesWorth, with regular specials at $4.00 and occasionally at $3.60 (even once at $3.15).
At the end of January, there was a price jump, and now the regular price is $5.25. Currently it's on special at Woolworths for $4.75, but normal price at Coles.
Does Dettol know the rest smell like shite and positions Crisp Linen as ‘premium’?
Surely the ingredients and aerosol agents are the same?
Why make it in a smaller can too?
Yep. Definitely some marketing shenanigans going on there.
As far as the smaller size is concerned, IIRC, Dettol did, and still do, make all/some of the varieties in the smaller can. It's just that ColesWorth stopped carrying them. (Chemist Warehouse currently stock some of the smaller ones.)
@robinCTS: I’ve not seen the CL in the larger size here in AU.
Have seen it on Amazon India but can’t trust it would be the same that we get here.
+1 for Crisp Linen, I bought some for the first time a few days ago when it was on special at woolies and it smells incredible.
No stock near me.
Isn’t the Aldi version of this much cheaper than this?
this
Nope. The Aldi version is $3.69.
Sure, if you are comparing normal prices, then Aldi's is cheaper than the ColesWorth regular $8, BIG W's claimed $8 (but $6.80 according to Pricehipster), and even BIG W's $9.50 twin-pack.
Bought one last week at Woolies for $8
Bloody Corona virus panic drove crazy demands for disinfectants.
The woolworths brand is still 60% alcohol, so is just as effective, but also has a second active biocide ingedient. $4 a can.
And the blue one doesnt smell like ass.
Guys it's fine the virus is a hoax according to the highest powers in the land.
It's so full of bullsnit; but I can't deny his confidence is reassuring for NO logical reason.
if I sprayed some citrus breeze glen 20 in my Corona would it make it safer to drink?
you could spray it into your mouth everything will be safer to drink not just Corona
Does this help keep the creeps I have at my workplace at bay? If so, I'll take a dozen. If it helps with the In-Laws…. I'll take another dozen!
Just add a cigarette lighter 😉
This stuff stinks up the place.
