Is anything being shipped out of china atm? My last two orders have not been shipped for over a month

    • +1

Yes, things are being shipped. This, however, is different from seller to seller and where your seller is based (as well as where the product is produced).

i've received a few orders. very much dependent on where the supplier is. most western provinces are good. many of the cheapies are made in Zhejang province and my suppliers there have been good so far. a lot of concern there though and they are hurting, so i'm trying to keep my orders up, even if risk of delay is high

    • Ive had a couple things shipped between 2 weeks ago and 2 days ago athough nothing has arrived yet

Maybe all the glamours are in quarantine.

      Looks like a dude…

    • This is sign of the time, we have to be all inclusive, cannot discriminate people on their gender and appearances ;-)

    • hahahahhaha

    • Almost as bad as the Time magazine person of the year for 2006.

      • LOL. IMHO 2016 is the worst.

  • Good luck getting anything, AliExpress is super hit and miss, and is a pain when items don't show up at the best of times let alone now.

Interesting. I've ordered dozens of items. Only three were a no-show or had missing bits. All were settled in my favour with the Ali Express guarantee without much hassle.

Mind you, most things I order are under $5 and never over ~$20. So YMMV.

      • Aliexpress screwed me hard on guarantee, and conveniently it was when I bought my first rather expensive item ~$1000. To suggest it's reliable is very untrue, there's plenty of reviews out there to read about their dodgy "guarantee" if you choose not to stick your head in the sand. The reason I hadn't looked sooner was these sort of responses, it sounds like you actually know what you're talking about but now I know you don't. It's a risk plain and simple, most times it's not a problem, when it is you're up shit creek with no way to force them to to be reasonable or even talk to you. They then attempted to block me by deleting my account and probably more (not that I wont get around it if I ever wish to buy there again) when I got bank to recover the money, this is despite evidence being clearly in my favour with multiple seperate points each arguably being enough on their own, and over 30 purcahses off Aliexpress on the same account without complaint beforehand.

They've also conveniently deleted my account before their 2 month window has ended to contest the case with the bank, which if I hadn't taken ~100 screenshots of all the bullshit I dealt with in prior months on their platform it now wouldn't be available as part of the evidence. I'll laugh if they contest now.

For any item of material value to you, I strongly recommend taking clear video evidence of the process of opening packages and inspecting parts. Also use a payment method that will allow you to dispute with the finance company.

Hey, sorry to hear you got screwed. And thanks for the good tips in your final paragraph - all of which I follow and recommend.

But I was very clear that my experience was with cheap items only, and I did write YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary. In other words, my experience doesn't cover $1,000 items, and you should not expect the same results I got if you buy expensive items.

And, yes, using a credit card is almost always preferable, as former-fraudster Frank Abagnale of "Catch Me If You Can" fame reminds us: How Using a Credit Card Can Help Protect You from Fraud

  • I order two items back in December. I still haven't received them. Had to dispute and get my money back. Better to avoid ordering right now. I think they are withholding shipments to prevent the virus outbreak. Meanwhile you can stock up on toilet paper and ramen from woolies.

Literally ordered thousands of dollars worth of gear of Aliexpress 95% arrived those that didn't immediately refunded never lost a $$. As to current shipping in the last week alone 36 of 45 orders have finally shipped. Depends where's seller is located in China

    • 45 separate items? What are you ordering?

      • -1

Toilet paper, n95 masks, the usual…

      • Well as an electronics repair shop, capacitors, resistors, diodes fuses cases etc lots of stuff you can't get here in Australia

  • I’m not trying to offend anyone. This is a genuine question. Is there any risk of getting items from China because of the virus? Or will there be a chance that Australian government will stop them at the entrance?

  • Sorry, this promotion is for new AliExpress users

  • China flu hasn't stopped me from buying from aliexpress/gearbest.

  • As much as I like cheap deals Aliexpress resolution (dispute) team make you jump through hoops for little to no support.

  • I always got refund if I didn’t get my order. Although i hated it to wait 2months for nothing
