Netflix are struggling due to increased competition from other streaming services and subsequently content creators pulling their content from Netflix.
If that was the case then they would be more inclined to offer free trials to get people hooked. If they’re reducing their marketing spend then perhaps that’s an indicator they’re confident people know what they have and what they offer.
They still do. I got an email from them a few days ago as followkng :

I recently signed up as a "new customer" using a VPN in Ukraine, worked out alright. Watching it in Australia now.

Just confirmed with Netflix staff, there is no more 30 day trial in AU…
Click on the big red button to TRY IT NOW but 30 days free trial seems no longer available
