My partner and I booked some super cheap flights to Tasmania and need to hire a van for about 10days.
Does anyone know of a good company to go through?
We're looking for the typical long base van with a pop top, and the usual amenities (fridge, cooktop, utensils).
Hoping for a budget of $50-$100/day. We're saving our gold coins for a Europe holiday once the Covid-19 has stopped throwing the currency and travel restrictions around.

I've Rented a Wicked Camper down in Tas for around the same time as you. heaps of free camping spots (download wikicamps, it was a life saver) we had a Toyota Cube with a roof top tent (the tent was brand new which was nice) but i think the van would be an easier setup/pack down. from our research they were the cheapest and the guys at the depot were awesome - free blankest and towels left by other travellers and other misc items which was good also. keep in mind that you will need to taxi to the depot (not directly at the airport) i can't remember how much it was. You can also ask for a van without signage if that bothers you.
I've just got back from there and Britz vans were common
Autorent and Britz for the more bigger campers are most common. Wicked is usually the van with a mattress.
We used Bargain Car Rentals a time ago and had no issues. And it was cheap!
Also, recently we caught a relocation via coseats.com and was fabulous too.

Thanks for your help peoples. We called around and missed out as they've all been booked with the shift in travel plans from Covid (at least that's what they said).
Looks like we're gonna hire a car and Airbnb instead. Taz is small emough to do that i think.
