Ouffer Deal - V8 Cleaning (Melbourne) no longer honouring vouchers

Just thought I'd let you know that I made a booking for V8 Cleaning a few weeks ago and they didn't show up. I contacted Ouffer and after two days, they responded with:

"Unfortunately - it does indeed appear that this company are no longer able and/or willing to honour vouchers."

They have offered an Ouffer credit which is not good enough as I am not getting the service I paid for and it caused me a massive inconvenience. It has been another two days and I have had no response.Will let you know how this progresses if I do not get a refund.

Anyways, just letting others know that if you have one of these vouchers, you need to get onto Ouffer and request a refund.

    Good luck arcticmonkey. I am also trying to get a refund from scoopon. Think I am well and truly over these group buy companies!! The inconvenience, headaches and frustrations just aren't worth it.

    My girlfriend had the same issue. She made a booking with V8 Cleaning and had organised movers to come in later in the afternoon. But guess what? V8 called in the morning and cancelled on us saying that the job they are currently at requires more work and as there is full cash paid (no discount) they would prefer that job. I thought it was very unprofessional and rude of them. And i havent forgotten that my girl firnd just got an SMS in the morning advising the cancellation. She called them 5 times and smsed them 5 times in the morning. But V8 was too busy to reply to the customers until the afternoon.

    Well the solution we had was to settle with a refund from Ouffer. Which i believe is still not any sort of compensation coz we had to go through so much trouble to reschedule the movers and find a cleaner on a short notice (so much stress). Coz of V8 cleaning my girlfriend still hasnt moved into her new apartment as she had to do all of the reschedulling. Never going with V8 cleaning again.

    I have also cancelled my V8 Cleaning voucher.

    Wish there was a better solution than just getting the Ouffer credit note!

    I would like to report that I inadvertently purchased TWO deals from Ouffer the other day (Thursday afternoon), instead of just one.

    After I purchased the first coupon I was presented with an error page that said that my payment was not successful (it gave some suggested reasons such as credit card expired, insufficient funds, etc.).

    I then purchased the deal/coupon again, and this time was successful.

    However, a few minutes later I noticed that I had received notification eMails saying that two coupons has been purchased, and two PayPal payments made.

    I sent off an eMail to Ouffer explaining the situation.

    The next morning (Friday) I received a reply from Ouffer saying they had refunded one of my payments. Within minutes I had a confirmation eMail from PayPal.

    Great service from Ouffer!

    • I only wish I could get the same service. Been waiting nearly a week for a refund from Ouffer.

    Now they have removed the Ouffer credit I had and I cannot get a response from them to see what credit card they issued my refund to.

    To make matters worse, I received an automatic email which says the person who supposedly refunded me (Laura) has "finished up with Ouffer".

    Very disappointed in Ouffer's customer service. If they refunded me at first instance and responded quickly, this could have been much easier.

    Will not be using them again after this incident.

    Update: It's a comedy of errors.

    Here's a timeline of events:

    July: Purchase Ouffer
    August: Cleaner doesn't turn up
    Late August: Email Ouffer for a refund
    Late August: I am given Ouffer credit even though I asked for a refund
    Late August: I email back and ask for a refund
    2 September: Still no response from Ouffer so I email Laura (per the request above)
    5 September: Laura emails back stating she has processed the refund
    9 September: I cannot see this refund on any of my cards so I ask her what card she processed the refund to
    13 September- As I haven't had a response, I email back to several Ouffer addresses and I find out Laura has left the company.
    Today: I was sent an email advising I have store credit AGAIN. This email looks like a copy and paste job from my earlier email.

    So now I am back to square one! What a horrible experience. They have an active presence on Facebook - if only they dedicated more resources to customer service, it'd make life much easier.
