  • bought some P2/N95 masks trying to post to China for a friend but his city was locked down and can not been sent. Now I'm stuck with 60 masks which I paid for $6 each.
Btw, this post has P1 not P2 just in case anyone gets confused, it is one tier lower than P2/N95

Yes, P2 mask has become too expensive to supply hence we are going for P1 instead, which is still more effective than surgical masks. It can still be sent overseas, confirmed.

      • Not if your receiver live in a locked-down city.

        • EMS can deliver into Wuhan, confirmed

    • Hi yfxsmike

I'm interested in the masks if it's non-vented, auntie works in the hospital and are only given 1 a day.

    Why is this a bargain?

  • +1

Is this a bargain or you just letting us know that it's available at your store for everyone to buy?

    • -4

      The latter

  • +1

Lol rip off. P1 not suitable for what they're basing this cash grab on, don't waste your money.

  • $60 for 20 P1 non-vented mask is not a bargain

beside, there is no new case in Aussie for the past weeks, why should you buy them?

    • I agree, but for the second part, it is actually more expensive for non-vented masks due to the virus since some people claim you should have two way protecting which non-valved masks can protect others from you.

    • beside, there is no new case in Aussie for the past weeks

      Wrong.

      • oops… that was unexpected. hope they will recover soon.

Just letting everyone know, no harm, some people still looking for it for their families overseas.

      • I would keep in mind your responsibilities under in regards to APHRA before making statements. You cannot advertise a product for a purpose not fit and making statements like "no harm" and "families overseas" giving the situation, would turn responsible pharmacists away from making statements like these.

        • Thanks and noted.

Not a bargain when P2 masks at bunnings goes for $28.90 for a box of 20. You just have to keep an eye on bunnings website when they restock.

    Cheaper here

You claim 'no harm done' while you resell for double the usual price… This isn't even a vanity item.

      Wow

      $60 vs $39.99, double?

      • +2

        That makes it better lol

These are good for dust from Lawn And Garden and nothing else. These will not help you prevent getting any cold or flu, let alone coronavirus.

Also "P1/N90 masks provide protection above and beyond surgical level 3" is total crap. They are used for different things. Surgical mask are designed to stop droplets from going from the body to external environment and P1 are designed to catch dust from the environment to body. You need to compare apples with apples.

    Just a cash grab

Also a quick google search will let you see how priced these are. BOC sells similar ones for $33.62 ex P/U

Advertising, not a bargain, as admitted by poster associated with store.
