I had a domestic flight within Australia booked prior to leaving for my holiday in China.
This domestic flight was scheduled for within 14 days of my return…. needless to say, when I booked it in early December, self-quarantining was not anticipated…
Saw on QANTAS' website that they have a waiver form. I had to select one of the following options.
https://www.qantas.com/flight/recovery/coronavirus/waiverfor…
- You have a booking to fly from Australia to mainland China between 1 - 8 February 2020
- You are flying to Australia and have been to mainland China within 14 days of your date of arrival
- You are flying to a country with immigration restrictions and have been to mainland China within 14 days of your date of arrival, including New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore or the United States of America
- You are flying to Singapore and are a People's Republic of China national and do not hold Permanent Residency or a long-term residential visa for Singapore
None of these matched my scenario, so I just selected the (Edit) first second one. In less than 24 hours, I had a response saying everything was processed. Frequent flyer points were returned almost immediately, however still waiting on the other charges on my credit card to be refunded.
Just thought I'd let others now
