Brita Maxtra Filter Cartridges 4 Pack $32 @ Coles

80

Coles weekly special for the Brita Maxtra Water Filter. Also a decent deal for the 2 pack:https://shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/brita-maxtra-filter-water-cartridges-1033060p.

Spewing because I bought the 2 pack last week at full price.

Buy one at the discount price, then take it back with your previous docket.

Sadly, I do not have the previous docket. I knew full well when I bought them at full price that they would go on sale at some stage but I was desperate. I just didn't think it would be the week after!

  • Does anyone have any experience with the "copy" Maxtra filters? Lots of ads about for 20 packs for AUD$75 or AUD$99, would love to hear from someone who has taken the plunge? Surely they'd be the same…except for the quality of carbon?!?!

    • I once got a copy cat brand for the Maxtra filters, it ended up putting the carbon in the filtered water itself. Since then I have only purchased genuine as I cbf with doing returns.

costco had these 54 bucks for 8, coupon sale, got one last week

not sure if still on sale!

    • I always buy it at $54 for 8. If it's not on special now, it will be in a couple of weeks.

    • Damn that's good but I'm not a Costco member.

      • if you live close to a Costco its worth it
        especially if it has fuel

        filled up on the weekend
        was 1.17 o.O
the 7 11 at my area was 157… WTF

only filled up 20L but that's a big saving already

  • FYI the kmart ones will also fit Brita jugs

    • Do you mean these ones? https://www.kmart.com.au/product/water-filters---set-of-3/80…

Might give them a go next time.

    • any good?

They are decent, but not the same quality as the Brita. I use filters mainly to filter the bad taste in tap water at work (old building and pipes) and Brita does a better job. The K-Mart ones still left some lingering taste but better than no filter.

As for the filter price, $8 a piece is normal price at Costco ($64 for 8) and even less when it's on special.

  • Target does 3 packs for 15$ normal price too. My mate reckons there was something dodgy with the copy ones..

  • I normally buy the Bunnings one Stefani Brand they work, and fit the Brita Jug

Can get 10 filters from the Official Brita Australia ebay store for $75.65 (with promo code PYEAH) - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BRITA-MAXTRA-Water-Filter-Cartri… Works out to $7.57 per filter.

  • $9 each still aint that cheap think you could get 6 for $35 in the past?
Perhaps will get the target ones again $5 each

it would be good if you could take these somewhere to be reused rather than throwing them in the bin.
