ALDI Rechargeable Battery Colour Mean Anything?

Got some Aldi rechargeable batteries here and i'm about to recharge them again as they are dead.

But then I realised 2 of them have white top, while the other 2 have black.

Someone will make a racists joke i bet, but besides that, does anyone know if there is any difference? One colour means the battery is dead and can't be recharged? Or just different model?

If you posted something useful like capacity and chemical type someone could probably help. Bust those other colours mean nothing.

  • Just for fashion and inclusion.

Hey some enterprising soul will tell you that the black top ones are part of a limited edition model, that will be worth hundreds in a years time when the collectors realise they are rare (Or is it the white topped ones?).

In reality, they will be from different batches, maybe even from different factories/countrys.

They dont change colour if discharged.

lol i hate to think what you'd be like if you bought a pack of rainbow glitter eneloops

  • …id be more worried about the reflective metallic silver vs matt metallic silver at the top of the battery where the AA is located personally

  • Someone will make a racists joke i bet

Something like "Once you try Black (batteries) you'll never go back (to White ones)'?

Suspect different models or sourced from different factories.

Cultural appropriation… The white ones are dressed up trying to look like the black ones.

It's probably just a batch or manufacturers change.

  • The only thing I've read about is the white topped IKEA batteries were supposedly rebadged Japan made eneloops?
