Definitely should work, did you make sure to receive the coupon within the education store, and not the generic Samsung website? The coupon should be $50 off $250, instead of $50 off $200, so please confirm which one you received :)

For all of the amazing upgrades, including all around photo quality, i was a little let down how much it suffers in low light video.
If this deal doesnt give you an end date, it might be worth waiting for MWC in a few days to see what TCL and such release for mid range competitors.

Why do we bother with Huawei which is still banned in the US and their even more crappy cpu and OS if the difference is only $50. Heck, I even pick A71 over s10e if it was purely based on specs. Adreno is so much better.
Specs are really good for the price.
Let me put this way
* imported Oppo Reno 2 with the same CPU (SD730) is around $800
* imported Realme X2 is $468 (but with a 500mah smaller battery and has a fast battery charging 18W instead of 25w of A71) at Catch
* imported Xiaomi Mi 9T (but internal memory is 64gb rather than 128gb and has no expandable memory slot) is $399 at Kogan
And A71 was launched only a few wks ago. I am sure the prices will eventually go down much as A70 (should be around $488).
At this price, why would anyone bother with Chinese phones, especially when this is a local store and I could just visit Samsung store if I have a problem with a phone.

Any expert advice on A71 vs A51. Which one do I choose? It is for the wife, who mainly just cares about a decent camera and a good screen. She is currently using my old Axon 7, after dropping her LG v30+ and the damage on that is beyond repairable.
