Thinking about Getting a MSY Gaming Desktop, Any Advice?

Hey,

First time asking a question here.

I want to be able to play the upcoming games, and I know the specs are not yet known, just trying to plan ahead as much as possible:
Cyberpunk
Vampire II
Baldurs Gate III
Last of us II
Elder Scrolls 6
Starfield
etc

Also, video editing on:
Adobe Premiere (latest version) and similar

I'm looking at these two options, possibly looking at upgrading graphics cards too:

https://msy.com.au/mspec-knight-570-gaming-system-intel-edit…

Budget is around $1000.

Leaning towards the 1050, as ASUS motherboards seem to work better with Nvidia graphics cards?

I'm not sure about any of this, and would appreciate any advice.

Thanks so much guys!

Cross-check parts with http://au.pcpartpicker.com if you built it yourself.

Hate to be the one, but last of us 2 is PS4 only.

    • Also Elder Scrolls 6 is very far off.

$1,189 for a system that has a GTX 1050ti or RX 570 doesn't seem right.

    • unless you want a kickass monitor that you will want to watch 4k movies on

    • totally. you can get better specced gaming laptops for less money (eg asus fx505)

Why not get from techfast, much better specs at similar prices

    No.

    Just get the techfast deal

BHAHAHAHA cant play any game when most of the parts "not in stock" unless you know how you can get a PSU and one stick of ram to work as a PC

You generally don't get good value for money when you buy a PC pre-built from a store. Unless you can buy the parts from different stores and build the PC yourself you're probably going to be paying too much. If you're not fussed on the brand or model of your gear you may be better off with techfast. I have no experience with them, but they seem to be highly regarded here.

    Definitely go techfaat.

How important is video editing vs gaming?

If you do alot of editing you might put a bit more money into cpu.

As others mentioned look at techfast deals.
They are excellent value at that price point

  • Thanks all! I will check out techfast and see how I go :)

Probably 80% gaming vs 20% video editing for now, so I'm not fussed.
