Boost $40 Recharge - Can I Recharge a Lower Amount?

I am using a Boost mobile $40 Sim that I purchased and activated last year. I normally recharge $40 each mont but my data use was low this month. Can I recharge just $20 this month instead of the usual $40 and if so will my data credit (still about 20gb from this month) carry over to next month as usual so I can use it? Sorry if dumb question but I couldn't find any info about changing for a single month.

Most members who use Boost buy the 12 month prepaid plans. It works out much cheaper.
Here is the Boost page. They are all expired at the moment but as you can see they get lots of votes.

Thanks. I agree these prepaid plans are good but unfortunately they are a bit light on data for me. I use my phone as a hotspot for internet access with my tablet and the 30gb I get each month for $40 is the perfect amount for my level of internet use. This month I've been busy so internet use was way down so wondered if I save $20 by stepping down for just the next recharge.

      • Would 240gb suffice for an entire year?

I got the $300 12 month 240gb one that basically gives you data to use for the entire year so if you have slow months it is good because you can use it still till the end of the 12 month expiry period and not reset every month.

Works out to be 20gb a month if you use it equally every month.

For me it is just fine and a big step up from the 80gb 12 month $150 one.

I was not able to take advantage of the $240 deal because I was not sure if they are able to send a code to redeem as I didn't want to port out and port back in to just use the next recharge so this way I paid $300 through the mobile app and got my new plan instantly so now I have 2 prepaid plans on my phone it says using one Boost SIM card just one has no data (my 80gb plan is gone which expires in April) and my new plan (240gb plan which expires 12 months from now)

So it is good it does not replace the plan completely and if I wanted to call or send text/mms internationally I think it will still use my previous plan minutes also not that I need it I just need local calls and text and data preferably over 16gb per month roughly.

One was marked as expired as they ran out of stock, but they're available again for $135 delivered should anyone be looking - https://bestdealplaza.com/mobile-plus/product/boost-mobile-p…

I also use Boost and have dropped back to using a $30 monthly recharge as it has enough data for me.

    • Thanks for confirming you can drop back. Do you recall if you carried any data on the month you first dropped back?

Hi guys, new to boost (shortly) do the $300 / 240GB packs stack? So I have one now can I just get another one when it expires?

How do you do it, get another before and then? Just not familiar with the process…

    Thank you!

No idea if they stack or replace but I know if you have another pack for example I had the 80gb 12 month $150 pack and ran out of data last week but it had still 2 months left so I bought a recharge through the app of the $300 240gb 12 month pack and now I have 2 plans showing in my mobile app / website dashboard just no data on the 80gb plan but everything else is still there so I think they do double up but I don't know how buying 2 of the same pack would work out if they stack and add more of everything or just replace.

Recharge on the app. Choose which plan you are after. Pay via credit card.

    • Ok. Will give it a go. Thanks.

  • I've just done exactly this and data was lost when downgrading from the $40 to the $20 plan.

A quick chat to their online CS team reinstated as I said this wasn't made clear.

Be aware though any rollover only lasts for another 28 days.
