Thanks OP. Im a long time Coinspot user, and my account is $40 higher since this morning. So thanks also to random new members who used the "random referral link" above

If you really want to do this the true OzBargainers way instead of selling your BTC to AUD on the Buy/Sell tab where the fee will be 1%, instead go to the markets tab and sell there where the fee is 0.1%. Extra .9% in your pocket! =D

    • +1

      yeah Markets is much cheaper.

  • +1

    Nothing for existing users :(

    • Yeah it's one time but share your code $20aud each time.

      • ah, i love referral code lottery

        • -1

yeah. there were some bad codes earlier. should be cleared now anything starting with Ref apparently is correct.

          • @shadowangel: My code doesn't start with REF but it's good to go.

            • @jpwagga: Are you sure? Mine definitely is ref as are others

              • +2

@shadowangel: Yep, I checked again. it starts with N02. My account is about a year old. New ref codes start with ref

          • @shadowangel: Mine doesn't start with REF too.

            • @firestint: ok great. seems they changed the format a few times over the years

    • +1

I closed my existing account by talking on live chat and signed up again and got verified hehe

  • Thanks OP, and whoever ended up with my referral. Love a free $40!!

"This offer will be valid from 9:00am AEDT 14/02/20 until 10:00pm AEDT 16/02/20" by clicking on "learn more" on the referral page. The description would need updating as it currently says it ends at 10am.

        • +1

          ill update it , Thanks.

  • +2

Just imagine how much that $20 AUD will be worth in BTC in 10 years time.

    • ufo at least

    • $0, so I'd avoid holding it for that long.

      • -1

It could go to $0 or it could go up. It's only a $20 investment.

        • +1

It's not impossible either way, but I was asked to imagine and so I picked the most likely outcome. I wouldn't go so far as to say "investment", but if you like gambling crypto can be an entertaining way to do it.

Me? I'm not much of a gambler, but I don't mind free money.

  • My referral code isn't auto-filling when I click through the link??

    • you can manually enter the code, do you mean your specific code ?

  • All good, thanks OP

  • You need to take a call to enable withdrawals, I was called today.

    • Yes my friend was called too, the lady from CoinSpot was really informative, i kinda felt like i missed out

    • I did a transfer late last night and i finally got the call, nothing to worried about. It's a welcome call and they explain security and help setting up 2FA. All very good if you plan to get in Crypto.

  • Thanks OP. Worked for me. hardest part was setting up the PAY ID to make sure transfer didnt go astray.

  • Is there a limit on referrals OP? Referred 5-6 people but only got $40.

    • +1

not that im aware of. defiantly higher then $40

      • Do you generally get your referral bonus when the referee gets theirs, or is there a wait? Would seem strange to stagger it considering I received 2 of them already.

On another note, had a mate tell me that he got a call from coinspot re his withdrawal and if he got told to make an account because of an organisation, company or website as they're getting inundated.

        • before this started it was instant, it may be getting a work out now it seems to stagger. I also had a call today, it's just go over the basics (account security and introduce you to coinspot.) she was also very nice.
support is also very response even at midnight.

  • Just got a phone call from coinspot asking some basic security questions, just a heads up. Pretty basic took about 2min, nice guy.

    • I also had a call. It's to go over account security and more of a welcome more then anything.

    • +1

Oh man, I was getting a bit freaked out. Thanks for confirming.

  • Done cheers OP. Now the real question. What should i move my $20 into for the biggest gains short term? bytecoin up 100% but LINK is at an ATH.

    • Your welcome. If you have 100usd of crypto or more there is plenty of offers to take advantage of to increase it much more with out the risk of trading.

      • How many referrals have you got so far? I imagine you have made a few bucks out of this. Well done! what sort of offers are you referring to? the deposit process was simple and instant so happy to put another 50 in if it makes sense to take advantage of said offers.

        • I prefer to not say the amount yet.
Coinbase, Gemini have been posted, which have referral credit. Coinbase has earn.
ill post some more in the future that suit ozbargin.

          • @shadowangel: Ah if it means signing up with KYC to other exchanges its not worth the hassle most the time. Coinspot due to being Australian and has a pretty stream lined process based on other comments I thought it was worth it. Me and my Partner both signed up so we are $60 better off for 15minutes work. She kept hers and put her deposit into TRON just to stir me up. I'm going to put all mine into XRP.

            • @rakerr: all exchanges will have that requirement. you could have referred her for an extra $45usd and an extra on the earns.

              • @shadowangel: 45usd for coinbase referral?

                • @rakerr: sorry 10usd each x 3 (lack of sleep lol
then you have the earn referals too. so you can really maximize earn if you have two or more people.

                  • @shadowangel: Do you use BTCMarkets? They seem to be a better exchange than coin spot

                    • @rakerr: yes i do have an account with them. they have different strengths. BTCMarkets is more liquid and has instant withdraw. Coinspot is same working day but not instant. Support is much faster and better on Coinspot even at 1am in the morning i had a reply.

I don't really trade, so i'm no help there. I originally setup with all the top exchanges so i could enter at the lowest price and sell at the highest price. I also have an overseas exchange to hedge when i use to trade.

  • Is it meant to he instant? I just deposited but don't have any BTC added to my wallet…

    • Nvm it just took 5 min

      • Its near instant for me. Less than 30 seconds.

  • +1

I am now the proud owner of $20 BTC.

Won't be selling. Will keep them indefinitely.

    • Hope it goes well. There has been some wild estimates on what it could go to.

    • lol, I read that as 20BTC haha

I have been buying BTC since 2013 (each BTC cost around $300USD when I started buying), it will definitely work out. $20 BTC today is not going to be life changing though. It can be life enriching nonetheless, so hodl it. (not a typo)

      • Wow nice. I was not so lucky. I bought eth at near an all time high, some alt coins and then we had that big ICO crash.

I'm back to positive again, now I just use crypto for sending funds and keeping a backup for when I lose my atm cards.

        • -1

Just hodl. The crypto markets will be worth trillions. The halvening is happening in May, there is no reason to sell, unless you are day trading. This is just the beginning, crypto is the future.

I had a choice of getting into crypto or property in 2013, I'm very glad I chose crypto. I can retire soon.

Nice to see a crypto community within Ozbargain. They should have a dedicated section on cryptos in the forum.

    • The gemini one i posted last week (now expired) was the same deal but with 20USD of BTC for answering 3 questions that you can't get wrong. got some very negative comments early on. This deal was much more positive response.

      • Awww, I will be on the look out if they offer it again.

        • I hope so. I love Gemini. There is lots of little offers around, like Huobi Wallet they are on twitter. there was also blockstack with $1USD and $10USD by BlockChain. Last year there was massive ones by Keybase 50USD of XLM every month.

          • @shadowangel: that keybase one only ran for 3 months (2 for me because i didn't register for it in time). such a shame greedy people ruined it :(

            • @tdw: Greedy hackers with there bots. yes it was a shame.

          • @shadowangel: Thank you for reminding me, just realised I have some XLM from keybase airdrop. Only 2 received due to greedy people but no complaints.

And thank you for posting all these crypto deals. Keep them coming!

    • I agree too. And I did see shadowangel posting that Gemini one and snagged it. Haven't been cashing out, just stacking them up.

How do i withdraw my $1 back into my bank account now? I dont see a withdrawl option do i have wait to receive a phone call?

    • It should be My Account > Withdraw AUD
      then you add a bank.

They have been calling people but it's more to explain Crypto and how to keep your account secure. Support is very good (Amazing actually ), if you have any questions there is a live chat just send them a message and you will get a response back very quickly.

  • I got a call from them this morning, explaining things, reminding me to set up 2FA. The call makes it feel like a good quality service!

    • yes customer service is very good and very responsive. when i used there chat at midnight they got back to me in a few mins.

  • My BPay transaction I initiated Saturday $1 came through. Current balance $20.80. Too easy thanks OP

  • I only got $10?

    • Hey, when did you do the deposit ? $20 expired at 10pm Sunday 16th. after that it's $10

      • Yeah only had bpay option I could use :( oh well
