Has anyone managed to get SurfShark's SmartDNS working long term? It works for me when I set it up initially, but then after an hour or so, it stops working for Netflix traffic, both via app and via browser. All other internet traffic works fine. If I re-activate the SmartDNS (switching to a different IP then back to my original IP), it starts working again temporarily.
I've been going back and forth with SurfShark support but not getting any closer to resolving it. They're just getting me to trying everything they can think of on my side without looking into their side.
My theory is Netflix somehow catches onto SurfShark's IP address assigned via their SmartDNS. Only when I re-activate the SmartDNS does it get refreshed and reopen my access. I could be completely off though.
In my experience, only a few DNS services work for Netflix. I had tried several before finding my current one, which has been reliable for the past two years of my subscription. However, it only works with US and UK Netflix, no other regions.
Is your IP somehow changing? Mine service is locked to my IP and requires a re-config whenever I reset my modem.
