This is excellent SD card for cameras, plenty of capacity and speed for 4K recording.I am also using it as additional storage in my laptop with SD card slot.

The usual price for 512GB is over $300, Amazon started drip-dropping the price a few days ago to this low price. On Amazon US the price is $168 USD (+shipping), so currently much cheaper in Australia.

    It's a great card at a great price, this is about what I payed for a 128GB a few years ago.
    Without shooting video I can never seem to justify upgrading to a larger card for my camera though.

      At the moment the bigger the cards (physical size) the faster transfer rate you can theoretically achieve (some microsd are faster than cf/etc. always look at reviews), this only really applies to extreme cases though, for people who are maxing out their write speeds, so for the average person using an sd card with adapter is fine (though some adapters aren't very reliable if you're working with important data).

    Is the "Extreme Pro" sorry PRO better than the previous 512GB for ~$100? Better speed presumably.
