  • Snap this up - you need it for the new expansion that was announced today, Warlords Of New York, where they bring the game back to it's New York setting:

"Warlords of New York will bring players back to Manhattan, eight months after the initial outbreak from the first game. Set in Lower Manhattan, an unexplored space from the first game, you'll take on a squad of rogue agents led by Aaron Keener, a returning villain from the original. In addition to fighting against old-faction like the Cleaners and the Rikers, you'll also take on Keener's squad of agents, all of whom use powerful Division tech, such as a decoy hologram and the Sticky Bombs. Over the course of the new campaign, you'll travel to various districts of Lower Manhattan, which includes Battery Park, Twin Bridges, Civic Center, and the Financial District. Along with additional side-activities, you can also find new missions to take on after finishing the main story, opening up new end-game content in New York and in D.C.

In addition to the new story and setting, Warlords of New York will usher in a revised gear and power growth systems. With a new level cap of 40, the gear system and its interface have been tweaked, keeping some of the more inconsequential stats under the hood. Loot has been changed to include more types of gear, including the elusive "god-rolls". Furthermore, the skill and leveling systems have also seen some changes. Along with an endgame leveling system, akin to Diablo III's Paragon mechanics, the skill and character archetypes have been overhauled to encourage more diversity with builds."

    • It's not on discount, so unsure why it should be 'snapped up'. Especially when presumably new players will need to level up before they can take advantage of it.

      • Was referring to the base game, the subject of this post - not the expansion.

New players will get a boost to Level 30 to play the new expansion announced today.

  • Worked. Thanks OP.

  • Can't find that changing account location, and the link below says that you have to contact them to change it

    https://support.ubisoft.com/en-AU/faqs/000024850

    • I can't quite help you out at the moment as I'm at work, but can you change it in app instead of through their website?

  • +3

You don't need to do this in the app or changing location.
I just did it on my phone by connecting via VPN, logging in with my Australian addressed uplay account and making the purchase straight from the browser store with an American address on checkout.

  • Does this have some half interesting solo/story like destiny 2? Or is it mostly just pvp like cs?

    • Apparently it actually does judging by the reviews.

  • Thank you!

  • Now, wouldn't it be funny if this was one of the next Epic freebies just so that the player numbers are increased for today's new expansion?!😂😆

  • +1

Worked fine with my Ubisoft Aus account and Paypal Aus, with only a US VPN in the browser. However I had to enter a US address in checkout

I told it I was in Washington and somehow it came to$3.17 USD instead

    • Use Oregon as they don't have sales tax.

  • Done - thanks!
Would of preferred xbox version, but this was simpler :)

Best to choose one of the five states that charge no tax such as Oregon to keep it at 2.99USD

  • Dunno how others got this to work. I get a warning that the store is from the wrong country at checkout. With now option to input a mailing address “though that may be something you do after the checkout button isn’t greyed out”.

    • Ok. What worked for me is.
      1. VPN on my phone.
      2. Clicked the link.
      3. Added to cart.
      4. Checked out.
      5. Then I signed into my account while checking out.
      6. Added in a tax free US state.
      7. Purchased.

  • Worked. Thanks OP.

  • I don't want to spoil the party but some people used other currencies too.
Cheapest I found was 10 NOK which is about $1.61 AUD.
Apparently it works through the client.

    • how did you do this?

  • I have bought this through the US store and paid for it etc. But on my uplay app, i am seeing The division 2 Episode 3 (which i think is free for a limited time) but not the usual Division 2 standard edition image. Is it the same thing?
