What Type of Non-Stick Cookware Do You Use?

Hi All,

Relatively recently i came across articles around standard non-stick cookware causing cancer or increasing risk of cancer. It seems to be relatively credible risk.

Just wondering what type of non-stick cookware do you guys use? Personally i have been using Tefal range but seems time to reconsider.

  • I would suggest reading more scholarly articles.

In summary, maybe, it's unproven, putting sugar is your coffee daily is likely more dangerous than a non stick pan.

  • There was pretty much an identical thread a few days back if you search. Bottom line, if you want to avoid coatings due to a possible health risk then you're only option, and IMO one that's superior anyway, is cast iron. Personally I think there's bigger issues to worry about.

  • Our cooking process:

    1. As much wet heat as possible - boiling, steaming, microwaving in ceramic or soda-lime glass.

    2. As little dry heat as possible - stir frying in the patinas of carbon steel woks, occasional baking in soda-lime glass.
